Punt rd development

Anyone catching the train from Richmond las night after the game will see the entire precinct needs redevelopment. I guess it’s just timing now can’t see it happening any time soon

As previously mentioned, it won't happen till after Metro is completed, govt is building five new stations plus all the refurbs needed with Skyrail (which is nearly done)

Some changed at Richmond will be needed post metro anyway because the Pakenham/Cranbourne line will no longer use it

What a disgrace Richmond station is serving up to 75000 sports fans- it’s a national embarrassment- go to most top grounds os and it is smooth efficient and multi purpose
Only Sports Club with a Railway Station...
Time we upgraded...

$60 million will be sufficient to develop a greenfield site for the two new teams.
It will be a win-win situation, preserving the Punt Road heritage at the same time.
No construction disruption at Punt Road during the playing season.
Our team is in the best form for 40 years.
No disruptions whatsoever.
Junction Oval and University of Melbourne oval are two great redevelopments, especially the first.

That’s gonna be ****ed. Any idea if they’ll run some sort of footy special straight after games?

No, the line will no longer connect

And it's not ****ed, you just switch trains at South Yarra or town hall (something people do everyday going into the city for work)

Right maybe not ****ed, but a pain
And those lines have to cross the Frankston/Sandringham lines that go straight through so unless they do it with a bridge, they'll connect won't they?
