The only way to stay in Richmond was to demolish the stand, move back, so we could shift the oval so it is MCG size. For us to train the way we want to play, it had to go. We are building a new Jack Dyer Stand. The Dyer family are right across it and supportive of it.”

good to hear we are already making overtures to secure access to goschs paddock, it is a public ground but with VFL, AFLW and AFL all needing to use a ground it is good to have access to another oval close by

The current building might be the worst designed building I’ve ever seen, an absolute disaster, so hopefully they’ve gone to someone new this time around.

I’m good friends with an architect from Cox who are doing the new facility.

He was telling me the other day that they are trying to think of a creative way to show all our premiership cups because we have too many to show in the current designed rooms

I don't like the mock-up of them in suspended glass boxes above the spiral staircase, they're sacred to the club... I feel like it cheapens them being so overly accessible like that.

I'd prefer them to be in a specifically designed room, with plaques and history of each cup... somewhere quiet where you can just walk in and silently reflect. it'd also be a powerful room for present players to go into to if they're seeking some extra motivation... or potential recruits.

But what a glorious problem to have...

The only inspiration I would take from this is the very fact that's it's a room with trophy's in it... other than that, I hate everything about it
