Typical bloody AFL tribunal. Hulme who has never been reported before cops two weeks, which will be home and away matches, yet Plugger whose record is atrocious can get off and pretty boy Crawford who blatantly punched Tarrant can can also get off.
Hird deliberately elbowed someone in the head and got one week.

Where is the consistency? The tribunal is nothing but a bloody joke!

A bit harsh on Hulme I guess but probably deserved, just that the others should have gone too.

The news was lightened a bit by a quote from Hulmey at the tribunal. "I use it (straight arm) as a weapon .... oh I probably shouldn't have said that." Onya Pup!

Isn't a Carlton player allowed to be suspended now? If he was guilty - even if he had a clean record - then logically he will get one or two weeks.

Players don't get warning, or fines, unless they are for time wasting, wrestling and things of that ilk. If Hulme was reported, and found guilty of strking, then of course he is going to get either one or two.

Plugger didn't cp any weeks, because he was found NOT guilty, which in my opinion was fair enough. Plugger didn't do anything wrong, although I do agree with you about Crawford - he should have gone.

As for Hird, well I can see your point there, Bee. He gets suspended (fair enough), but only misses a dead rubber, while Hulme misses the home and away.

Well, sorry but them's the breaks. You know as well as I do (as does EVERY AFL player) that if they get suspended in their last Wizard Cup match, they will miss the home and away. Every player also knows that if they cop a suspension early in the Wizard Cup, they will miss the last few matches of the Wizard Cup. If Hulme had committed his act in Carlton's first Wizard Cup match, he would be available to play in Round 1 - them's the breaks and Hulme knew it as much as anyone.

Crawford did not punch Tarrant, he pulled it away at the last minute. Can't be found guilty if you do not throw a punch.

Get real Dan! If Hird had been reported during the last wizard cup match, there is not a chance in hell he would have been suspended! You know it, I know it and everyone else knows it!
