CARLTON V MELBOURNE (SECOND QUALIFYING)
MCG 2PM SUNDAY AUGUST 13

my tips for the first week of the finals are:

Hawthorn d Geelong

Essendon d North Melbourne

Brisbane d Western Bulldogs

Carlton d Melbourne

well....I hope this happens.....

Hawthorn def Geelong

North def Essendon

Brisbane def Footscray

Melbourne def Carlton

but really..........I think.....

Hawthorn
Essendon
Brisbane
Melbourne

Geel (Hardest by far to pick - this is a guess - despite "The Curse")
Ess (We really should get up in this one)
Bris (Chris Grant & Luke Darcy doubtful, and its at the Gabba)
Melb (mainly cos of Carlton's injury probs)

But who knows?

Hawthorn (hard to pick but if they play without skill errors they should get home)
Essendon (played unconvincing football last 2 weeks but have big names on the comeback list where nth are just playin mediocre)
Brisbane (Voss in the last 4 weeks has returned 31, 32, 37 and 33 posessions.. with him in that form the dogs should be sent home yelping yet again)
Melbourne (their form at the moment is pretty darned good.. all season have been saying "nahhh just wait for Melbourne to crash out of the 8".. never happened and they carry the mental edge in i feel)

I agree BSA,

Geelong
Essendon
Brisbane
Melbourne

I reckon that Melbourne v Carlton is the hardest game of the round. On recent form, I think you would have to pick Melbourne, but Carlton finished 2nd.

Essendon want to win too much for North.

Brisbane should defeat the Bulldogs at the Gabba, if it was in Victoria, I probably would have tipped the Bulldogs.

Geelong should be too strong for Hawthorn (despite the curse) last time we were without Burns, Snell and Lynch - ie no crumbing forwards. It was a wet day and we went into attack more than Hawthorn, if we dropped a mark, there was no-one to rove the pack. This week we will have Snell and Burns and maybe Lynch. Hawthorn don't seem to be any different from when we played them last except for Crawford (not a bad inclusion all the same)

Looks like Brissy are hot to trot !

can anyone tell me what the odds are on the footytab & sportsbet ?

Is it possible for Brissy to go all the way through and surprise a few people ?
