Hello fellow Suns fans

I have posted this on another thread last weekend, but my wife and partner of around 15 years has left me. It's a (reluctantly agreed) 6 month break, during which time we will to do counselling and hopefully we sort things out, partic as there are young children involved boys 6 and 8.

So this past week as been tough as I'm sure you can all imagine. But I'm sure there are others of you out there who have been through the same thing.
We are sharing the kids 50-50 so the nights I have them are great and the other nights (like tonight) are very lonely and just weird. I do have them from tomorrow (Friday night) as its my 'weekend'.

Anyway, its become very apparent over the past week that I don't have any real mates/friends over here, they are mostly partners of my wife's friends. Probably not very healthy.

The family moved over to the Coast about 4 years ago from Perth and basically started afresh - which (to her credit), my separated wife did a lot of work to make friends etc as she was at first a stay at home mum with young kids but now with kids at school she is back working (and now has even more friends from work!)

I am 41 but don't feel a day over 39.. nah seriously, I feel mid 30s still. I obviously love my footy and have since I was about 5.
I work from a home office (finance government type job) and so all my work colleagues are actually still in Perth, as are all my mates I grew up with/met at school/uni etc. Some do live in Melb and Syd however. So I don't have any work friends/colleagues here on the coast to socialise with.
I live on the southern end of coast.
I don't drink alcohol and this does make it hard to get out there and socialise at like pubs etc. But in saying that, Im happy to go to pubs for short periods of time as I understand its such a ritual for many people.

I don't even know what my interests are anymore as the last 4 years have all been spending time with my kids watching them grow up and other family stuff/get togethers with other families.
I do like most sports (watching, live or tv), I like walking/hiking, beaches obviously which as we all know are the best here on the coast (tho I have no interest in surfing, just swimming/body surfing).
Going to movies, coffee. Yeh, can't think of many more.

So I guess as I go thru this process I am going to need some social interaction, some friends, some people to talk s**t with and to laugh (again) with.

If I sound like someone you would/could interact with (at some stage, when im ready), feel free to send me a message. If there are suggestions any one has for me, feel free to post replies. I'll appreciate every one of them.

Thanks for reading (the hardest post I have ever written on BF)
