I agree it is a poisonous drug and that guy from the West is a prime example of why you shouldn't touch it..........but I go back to the days of the Dome nightclub.

The footballers back then that used to frequent the place were Ablett SNR and Chris Mainwaring among others.
Ice didn't exist back then........speed would have been the closest drug to it........and it wasn't a place for H users.

I miss the Dome and then around the corner Freakazoid...........good times!
Thanks Bad Horse you have filled my bucket today.....now I know what my kids are going on about! :p:rainbow:
Unfortunately I am too young for the days of Ablett the elder and CM. Or the glory days of Dome. I am old enough to have seen Ice in action.

I cut my teeth in Market and Disgraceland and Sircut back in the day.

Any footballers there were after a very different kind of night. Also where I learned the hard way that certain substances and antidepressants are not a good combination.

My total idiot self destructive days were not long ago. Some would suggest they are still here :p So I can sympathise with the call of the wild but at some point it isnt consistent with a professional work life. It's probably no coincidence I have an actual job and a vaguely stable relationship now that I have also stopped ******* myself up on a regular basis. JDG will get it soon...or he will be one of those maybe what if stories. Time will tell.

I think you need to be careful with filling bucket analogies when dealing with a horse. You don't know what goes in my bucket.

By the sounds of it Bad Horse you would have loved the Dome and my favourite Freakazoid (Chevron).

You would have fitted in with the rest of the freaks.........like me :p

Good times........:pill:

Ice is a shit drug (I have tried it)

The places I went to (nightclubs/dance parties - mostly gay) the drug of choice was not that poison. People went to have harmless fun.

I stand by my statement - I have never seen a fight in these places..........and you wont hear me saying "drugs are bad" (ducks for cover)
Wow. You really don't strike me as the type to be going to gay nightclubs doing ice CFC

Never done it a Club Apex36...........but been to many dance parties and Clubs and the reality is the Gay ones are the best.

My wife is a (vintage) fag hag now and her two best friends (gay) have baptised two of my kids and are now my best friends. I used to party from Friday till Sunday but I was at work Monday morning at 8am. Never took a sickie in my life back then.

Like I said Ice is a shit drug but I tried it (twice).....never again mind you. Not my thing.

You been watching Queer As Folk ?
I think it was hit series on SBS featuring the lives of gay people, on the whole. Many actors on it weren't even gay but it was a successful soap opera style program.
Could be wrong.
There was an English version featuring the guy who was the star of the brilliant sons of anarchy (that's how I know about it), and there was an American version set in Philadelphia.

Great post.
Ofcourse a straight person can watch a gay show. As a gay person can watch a straight show.

For what it's worth, I just don't get people's anxiety if some are gay. Like who cares what two consenting adults do.
I think the world is getting better with things like that.

But Carlton watching is a turn off

The gay clubs where there are lots of women (as opposed to the hardcore ones) are also very happy hunting grounds for the heterosexual male... or they used to be in London back in the day. I've no idea now and never been to one in Australia so might not apply here. Did you meet your wife in a gaybar CFC? I met a long term ex gf in a gay bar in Soho. I used to joke that her name was Meterinha-Gaybar (she was Indian), which is that old 12th man gag if anyone remembers.. where Bill Lawry is trying to practice pronouncing Sri-Lankan and Pakistani cricketers names .. Metiminha Gaybar... Jarvegemitefor Meandad etc.. classic!....

anyhoo.. yeah probs not cool but I found it funny at the time... just thought I'd share.
