They might do us hornets a favour if they can bounce the panthers next week. I suspect the siders are low on troops - good win by maroochy none the less. And Noosa taking palm beach to the line. Great effort … Surfers the clubhouse leader at the mo for mine … Redlands lurkingSherwood seem to be in some good form at the moment, that’s a good win.
How about Mt Gravatt staying competitive with the ladder leaders for all 4 quarters in the second last round of the year ?? That’s a fairly decent effort. They might do us hornets a favour if they can bounce the panthers next week. I suspect the siders are low on troops - good win by maroochy none the less. I seen that - I wonder did The sharks rest a fewHow about Mt Gravatt staying competitive with the ladder leaders for all 4 quarters in the second last round of the year ?? That’s a fairly decent effort.
Even with the hammer kicking 11.
Well pretty clear missing size in the ruck with no huddy and malone. Plus whoever else they rested for next week.I seen that - I wonder did The sharks rest a few
Didn’t see the sides champo. Just a general commentWell pretty clear missing size in the ruck with no huddy and malone. Plus whoever else they rested for next week.
But fair credit to Mt Gravatt for staying competitive for once.

Hanmer had 9 to half time. Probably kept the distance between the 2 sides considering the tricky breeze. How about Mt Gravatt staying competitive with the ladder leaders for all 4 quarters in the second last round of the year ?? That’s a fairly decent effort.

In addition to the Malone & Huddy absences there was no Cameron, Williams, Miller, Stallard, Hausfeld either. They’re 7 quality omissions. But credit where credit is due the Vultures can only play who is put out in front of them.Didn’t see the sides champo. Just a general comment![]()
6 outs from the team last week, however, matty owen and geesu came in, which are quality replacements and would be in the 22 every week.In addition to the Malone & Huddy absences there was no Cameron, Williams, Miller, Stallard, Hausfeld either. Fantastic when clubs can come together for the greater good. Ripper game at Palmy too with a 1 point margin.6 outs from the team last week, however, matty owen and geesu came in, which are quality replacements and would be in the 22 every week.
Definitely a decent effort, considering this time last year they were losing 204-8 and 220-13.
Really touching to see both all Noosa and Palmy players and supporters gather before the game in what has been a tough week. Shows its always more than just a game
Hammelmann by far the best forward in Qld, kicked 7 against Palmy in the first round and has a six goal lead, I’m sure Aspley will be feeding StacklebergSo Hammelmann moves to 85 goals for the season from 14 games - averaging just over 6 goals a game
Stackleberg has 81 in 18 games at 4.5 goals a game .
Redland have Palmy next week and Asplay have Mt Gravatt...so will be interesting which player wins the goalkicking for the year
Absolutely the best Full Foward in QLD ,,Hammelmann by far the best forward in Qld, kicked 7 against Palmy in the first round and has a six goal lead, I’m sure Aspley will be feeding Stackleberg
Sherwood were very good yesterday, played like a team that should be in finals.
Their pressure caused forward 1/2 turnovers and they moved the ball well all day.
Cats disappointing, been up for a while so not completely surprising an off day, but scoreboard flattered if honest , we got smashed
100% correct. Surely should get VFL game for LionsCan't expect to play finals if you cant' beat the bye in blue, Coorparoo. Didn't watch the broady game yet, but the i50 differential shows a smashing.
I watched the Roos/Panthers game to have another look at young Murray, what a star. Speed to burn, willing to take the game on and can hurt you by foot off both sides of the body.
Really not trying to be rude here, however, if he didn’t have the last name and came through as a normal junior, would Hodge be in the draft conversation still? Haven’t watched him play much, so I could be very wrongthink he has played a couple already and went well. But given he is 17 and a top tier player in the Seniors in a QAFL senior side, they probably don't see the point. Young Owen has had a crack already as well. Hodge is now playing VFL, but probably because he won't get a game in Panther seniors at the back end of the year, so he benefits more than the other 2.
Good summary of how it all pans out imo.I've seen a fair bit of him, he's pretty handy. Best attributes would be athleticism and a strong bloodline of being a pure hard nosed competitor - also has the fearless gene - will 100% go every time its his turn. In terms of pure footy attributes, he is a nice looking kick, but a poor decision maker and has no opposite foot. Often guilty (like many kids this age) of just dumping kicks long no matter what and is a little fumbly at ground level. There are plenty of 2008 born kids a fair bit ahead of him, but the Lions doing everything they can to pump him up thats for sure. Kids like Owen from Redland, Murray from Maroochydore, Hill from Broady, McPherson and Grills from Aspley, Duke & Thompson from Sherwood and Watts from Morningside are all a bit ahead of him - but footy is very subjective and not everyone gets the same opportunities.
