Mt Gravatt beat UQ in both grades, by 70 in reserves and seniors were leading by around 40 at 3qtr.

Palmy been a very strong contending club for well over two decades.Since our rivalry during the old Pineapple Hotel Cup I can tell you Noosa have nothing but respect for the way they go about it. A well run,’blue collar’ like footy club who you definitely knew you had played! They will once again be there when the whips are cracking!

Got a feeling Casboult is going to absolutely dominate the QAFL next year. Going to be very hard to stop him.

He’s a superstar. Should certainly be drafted. I would expect quite a few Qlders to be drafted this year. Under17s beat Vic Metro comfortably and Lions were Div 2 Under 16 Champions for that age group.

Agree - good group of top agers and some quality bottom agers as well.

The Lions academy boys rolled Morningside on Saturday I think I saw the final scoreboard say - appreciate early days, everyone playing mid strength sides but even still, thats a fair effort by a group of 17/18 yr olds.

Not surprised. The Academy as a team and individually have so much more to play for. Be surprised if any club sends out their best 22 at this time of year also.

Ive no doubt he will be a gun,, but he wont be unstopable ,,thats silly talk ,, opposition coaches will put in tatics to nullify him as best possible

He averaged 2 Cont marks / game across his career - in predominantly rubbish sides. Jesse Hogan for comparison averaged 2.6 CM/game in 2024 where he dominated the air. For all Casboults' kicking faults he was easily one of the best cont marks in the comp across his career.
I would say that he is the perfect community footballer on that basis and his kicking will possibly improve due to reduced fatigue. If he plays within 30m of the goal square and they can clear out the area and the delivery is pretty good, he will be unstoppable imo.

Don't think Jack A was anywhere near the cont mark Levi is - in fact very few were at AFL level. Those tactics to play close to goal and clear out aren't exactly rocket science sort of strategies. I think he will kick 100 goals quite easily (and maybe 100 behinds too.. )

Not sure he will be 'unstoppable' - but he will kick 80+ and will be a real difference maker.

He might kick 25 against the Vultures!
