Labrador knock off Aspley
First Quarter. The worst quarter of football I’ve seen from the Hornets since QAFL readmission. - played like they anticipated a win, can’t do that at Cooke-Murphy. Remember 2 (or 3?) years ago under Dan Websters tutelage ? …the same thing happened

HOWEVER. The tiges were super. Disciplined, worked hard up for the fight.- absolutely deserved that. …The QAFL proving that if you drop your gloves at any point you’ll probably cop one on the chin.

Bring on a well rested Palmy at a (bias take 🤣) beautiful looking Graham Road next week (All Snr & Jnr grades have been kicked off for winter Rye-Grass seeding) -we will see major surface benefits in July- Aug - cheers . 👍

Sherwood v Morningside: Spirited game, great effort by both sides. Sherwood paid the price for lapses in defensive technique, especially in the first half. Need to get the head down and pick up the ball when it's on the ground. Need to make tackles. Morningside should have won by a lot more given all the missed tackles, but dropped a lot of easy marks, which impeded their flow.

Morningside were superlative in running hard into position when possession was turned over, often had three forwards run to within 40 metres of goal, against no defenders. Also took a lot of spectacular contested marks. Even so, Sherwood matched them in the second half until the last few minutes. Sherwood's major strengths were winning contested possession and accurate passing, both kicks and hand ball.

Seeing a few posts being shared on fb about Carrara AFC being ‘screwed over’ by the cricket club with not being able to use the scoreboard, the club not being open and apparently the liquor licence being cancelled on them. And apparently they painted over the clubs colours in the change rooms without any warning or notice. Amongst other things.

I have no connection with the club so no idea what’s going on behind the scenes. Reminds me of when Palmy won it in 2018 and did burnouts on the cricket pitch and did huge damage.

Wonder if any other clubs sharing a cricket pitch have similar relationships or if this is a more isolated in club issue.

What are the vultures thinking dropping fletcher clare? hes been in great form, and honestly if he wasnt in a loosing side he probaby would be listed in the queensland team.. no helping the vultures now.. unless they have a whole afl team playing for them this week.

Im a cooparoo fan - and I remember watching the game and thinking the only reason mt gravatt were in it was because of Clare. Like seriously, who is on the selection committee there giving games to blokes who haven't played footy in years or wouldnt crack a reserves team in other clubs
