Whenever there's a draw, the winning tip should be attributed to those who chose the minority-tipped team, with those tipping the majority-tipped team going without.
This is standard tipping practice and definitely not something I just invented within the last 2 minutes.

I know I have been a controversial figure within the QAFL 2025 forum but I must say the Magpies had an incredible win today up the Coast!!! I reside nearby Neil Upton Oval and popped in for a watch. What a gritty win! Hopefully sets up the rest of their year with some winnable games coming up.
Sherwood 2 from 2 against Maroochy.

Are you sure you were not up there playing for sherwood?

Agreed. However it’s raises some questions about the Roos credentials heading into finals
Yep - possibly. I'm not sure they would be feeling that they are challenging for a premiership but possibly top 4. On their day capable of beating most sides but I think PBC seem to be the clear contender in this comp right now. On a dry day casboult would be near unstoppable and if he has his kicking boots on then look out.

Round 14 Tipping Results

No one managed to tip the card this week, with an upset and a draw making things tricky.

There has been a bit of conjecture about how to handle the draw between Labrador and Grange. To keep it fair, that match will be void, and no points will be awarded to any tipsters. Sorry, Mobbs !

Also, a quick reminder that BMD82 missed their tips this week. Make sure to get them in for the upcoming round.

Best of luck heading into the weekend!

Just the same old story. Depth so important.

We have faced the Roos twice and both times been pretty close to full strength.

When we've had 6+ out, we have really noticed the dip in form. (I'm sure its similar for many sides though)
Looked a bit ominous at 1/4 time Thommo - quickly saw the coach and think he was feeling the same but a great turnaround. Angel Duke's young fella Ethan kicked a couple of nice goals plus Cameron and things got going.

Agree - either everyone gets a point or noone does except of course if someone tipped the draw.

I wasn't too concerned

I think 17 of 23 goals were kicked to clubhouse end and we actually dominated territory against the wind in 1st quarter, just didn't put it on the board.

Is yerongas form in QAFLW a genuine record for the worst ever? Percentage of 3.89 and a couple weeks ago came of a score of 243-7. Would think this translates to around 350+ in men’s, maybe 400 lmao. Seniors haven’t won a game since 2022.

Makes AFLQ look like a laughing stock, and imo it isn’t even comparable to Mt Gravatt. Is it because they are headquartered at yeronga and have a debt to pay or something? This is really strange

The QAFLW comp is laughable. There is also no known process or guidelines to get a license in the QAFLW.

We would like to be elevated. In 2024 we won the u13 Girls Div 1 (& Div 2) Premiership, were 3rd in u15 Girls D1 and won the u17 Girls D1 Premiership undefeated, and also won the Womens D1 Competition. Had multiple female teams in every age group, showing long term sustainability and talent development and retention.

Couldn't even apply for a license and requests for feedback on how to do so and what the criteria might be were basically left completely unanswered.

We are then basically forced to sign up to a 'Women & Girls Football Charter" despite already doing everything and more than what the charter requests, but one of the primary obligations in being a signatory to the charter is to treat your female program equally, but there is an unknown and undefined glass ceiling on how to gain elevation. We can't treat them equally because we can't get them in a state league competition, and every young talented female at the club and their parents ask us why we don't go up and we can't answer them as we actually don't really know why.

Despite losing 6 x Senior players and 10 x u17s to various QAFLW programs (some of those clubs going about it the right way and others using morally corrupt recruitment techniques for girls as young as 15) - we remain stronger than several QAFLW women's programs in both talent and playing numbers.

Sounds familiar….
