The Vultures! They’ve done it! Anyone there to report on it?

yes i watched the game ,,,the vultures have improved big time ,,,were the best side all day and close to the end of the 3rd quarter were some 4 goals up but lost the plot to some degree and nearly lost the game .
and their reserves won by 10 goals so its been a while since the club have had results like this .
and a good crowd with vulture supporters getting behind their club
as of Sherwood, well not a good start and with their ressies being belted it could be a long season but in saying that its only round 1

so surfers gain pay back on redlands and morningside get up and defeat palmy ,,,coorparoo get close to Noosa and broady lost a game by 2 points when opinion was they would loose by plenty

A lot of old boys were there, and a lot were nearly in tears. It was just a great day for a club that lost a whole senior 22, to now winning a game—just an absolute creditt to volunteers.

Looked a close game at Cooke Murphy. Did you think either team is a contender?

Both sides played a pretty good brand but I reckon a touch off the top sides. Was a good standard game though

Hornets missed the jump and were competitive after QT but Maroochy clearly a class above. Gonna be a long year for the men from Graham Road … as Miller said on here a week or two ago they are a well resourced club so could bounce pretty quick in ensuing years but as someone else said it’s a long way back with points etc … ah well won a couple in the last few yrs, competed, no complaints, watch the kids and look for the “Green shoots”

To be fair there were no good teams playing in the first round anyway. Season starts next week. (that's a joke, just in case).
