A new thread for a new season: 2026.

The 13 clubs involved in the QAFL Competition:

Really appreciate matt_nicholls providing the fixture draw for 2026 - so I'll try to share it on this thread too (just so it is available from the start of the thread):

Liam Jones back at palmy. Solid spine with him, Hickey and Casboult!

Jones playing for free, I'm told. Won't play a full season but aim is to qualify for finals.

Repaying the faith: Former AFL star Liam Jones returns to the local club that gave him a footy lifeline

Tough season ahead for Mounties, Sherwood, Grange and Coorparoo, Aspley will drop back but have the resources and junior base to bounce back.... other clubs are just too strong and feels like they are getting stronger.

Not sure Aspley junior base is that strong is it?

Would thing Grange and Sherwood significantly stronger and alongside Morningside those 3 would be the strongest junior bases in Brisbane in terms of quality.

I guess you look at the 13, 15 & 17 Div 1 teams. Coorparoo definitely up there. Much stronger U13 D1 last year than Sherwood 120 - 10 win. But each cohort is slightly different so interesting to see where those teams sit in 2026.
