Just saw one on BigFooty and I was pleased that It was something very Australian and something we could easily relate to.

Anyone from BigFooty get stuck going places with Ansett this Christmas?

Qantas and Telstra are icons of the Australian commercial rip off mentality, assisted by government. Both have provided crap service at vastly inflated prices for years.

I find myself agreeing with you once again. I would put Ansett in that category as well in terms of cost Vs service.

Ansett or Qantas ?

They both stink, are both actively coluding together to 'fix' the Australian market with unbelievable fares and they both don't give a shit about the customer.

But, for what its worth, there are some differences that I have been able to detect :

Qantas have generally better quality aircraft, Ansett have still too many of those bloody horrible 737s !

Ansett have better looking, more friendly cabin crew !

Ansett have much better food !

Qantas have a few more flights, at slightly more convenient times.

Not much to choose from is there ?

And these two are supposed to be 'competitors' ? sheez makes you wonder sometimes.
