He was booed because he and his idiot team mates pushed Rankine to breaking point. They deserved every bit of reprisal by the crowd. He was a victim of a ****ing word, Rankine was the victim of actual physical threats, bullying and actual attempts to hurt him. Im not so sure. Star players can only do so much. But too many players were passengers tonight who were completely outclassed.

Of our last 7 games - he basically won us the Melbourne game off his own boot and we wouldn't have beaten Hawthorn without him.

There aren’t any positives to take out of it. None.

Our form has been shit for a month. Finally caught up with us.

So many of our younger players showed they aren’t up to it yet. Very real likelihood of a straight sets exit, if that’s the standard.

First off my UGLY (from Los Angeles): game was on at 2:30am so I woke up at 5am to watch, only to see a message from a friend telling me the result.

Thoughts:
1. Berry not up to it. Have no idea why people kept laying praise on this guy. He's depth at best. I know I was shilling for Jones to get a shot at the midfield and happy to admit I was wrong, but jesus, Berry is not good either.
2. The amount of just DUMB football. Kicking out from a point and marking on the defensive 50 and then just sitting there, waiting for Collingwood to set up to block any avenue! The amount of times we had another player like 15-20 yards up the line sitting alone (until said setup)! Just kick it to him g-damn it! At least then the next kick is to the half-forward area.
3. The amount of times we let 2, 3 Collingwood players just stand in the open in our defensive 50 because people were either trying to zone up or just not getting back, was just pathetic. I'm not sure what was going on but to me it looked like a complete inability to run both ways. I think the club owes us some kind of transparency on this because we've looked so slow and tired for the last 5 games now. Were we training exceptionally hard? Secrecy be damned, at this point just air it all out and confront it.
4. Forward play, awful. Lower your eyes and hit a contest. Or Nicks, how about putting an extra man in the forward line to combat what they were doing? Change SOMETHING for F's sake!
5. Michelanney to a forward role... awful decision. You want to negate Daicos, put Keays on him.
6. Booing Quaynor... just please stop crying about it. Fans had every right to boo the guy. He's not a victim, he's a professional athlete. It's part of the game. You guys would never survive a game as a fan in Philadelphia or at a Raiders game, etc.
7. Coaching and prep was just poor. Picking 9 defenders... why would you do that unless you were going to have them all play in defence to clog up Collingwood's ability to score? Maybe I just don't know the game well enough but that just seemed moronic. Also.... do you think MAYBE you should have given a midfielder getting 40 touches in the SANFL a better run earlier this year. Like maybe not ignoring Billy Dowling's performances would have helped us, considering our midfield got smashed 5 weeks in a row now?

Can confirm. I regularly go to NHL games. When bad decisions are made, an entire arena of ten-thousand people will chant 'REFS YOU SUCK' at the top of their lungs, and certain players will be relentlessly booed every time the puck touches their stick if they offend the opposing fanbase.

I’m just going to say. We crumble under pressure. We always have. Slight improvement this year. But I feel like for years I have been saying the same thing - it’s all in the head. Whoever is the club psych, needs to be replaced.
