When the competition was SQAFA many years ago I'm sure Noel Wallis did all the competitions by himself and the cost was around $3K per club no matter what competition.

Seems a lot more cooks in the kitchen now. If Div 1 is $25K + not sure where quarter of a million goes to run competition. Umpires obviously main cost but should still be plenty left over.

Obviously AFLQ get yearly budget monies from AFL. Just seems a lot of bodies at Headquarters.

Insurance is probably a big part. Interesting to know what it costs to insure each club.

Practise matches this weekend? Noosa play Nambour then Gympie on a big Saturday of footy.Looking forward to it with a pretty good local feel about it.Tigers will mix up their teams with everyone getting a run.Kids a priority as we are not fielding a colts side due to lack of numbers which is disappointing.Mind you the 7 or 8 committed colts boys have been awesome over the preseason and will more than push for senior selection

what's the go with Noosa playing hinterland and Gympie? very strange imo coming off a win against broady and then playing sides a couple divisions below, thats no disrespect to hinterland and the cats either.
caloundra looked like they lost a a lot of players in off season with who was playing on weekend? no sax rudolph ross, barrat tores and couple more

Gee good win by Caloundra at the weekend.I know only a practise game but unaustralian not wanting to win any game.Both teams at full strength? Not long to go now bring it on.

Jeffrey’s couldn’t get game in 1s at Noosa? Tyson
Williams headed to tigers as well from the Roos?
Was only ever a 2s player imo, would find it hard for
Him to play 1s with McDonald and trompy still
There even tho peter is well past it

Puma were good - played well. Caloundra missing quite a few due to a wedding but still had opportunities to win. Werent good enough
Tyson will be a great back stop for Noosa in the hard to fill position of ruckman. Is Tromphy playing? Heard he had retired.
Jeffries got flown up from Vic to play 2's I heard - hope he played okay... :)

Trompfy training but unsure if playing or not just loves being round the boys,big Tyson is a great back up for Mcdonald and co although not sure if right for this week.And yes might have to cop the financial costs of flying someone up to play twos myself.Pretty embarrassing however I think all will be in order this week.Will never forecast senior selection again! Should be a ripper against panthers who I know get several a graders back
