Game was scrappy as anything. I guess games go that way at times.

Seems like Ipswich had late chances against Wynnum.

Moreton it looks covered Wynnum twos quite easily. Any match reports from either game?

Compare your record against Kym’s and you embarrass yourself Paul. Why do you bag him? When was the last time you seen a game in this division? Are you jealous or bitter that your time has come and gone?
He has done an amazing job in last 3 years. Facts speak for themselves

The scoreboard flattered Wynumm in both games. Moreton made them look second rate in the ressies and Ipswich kicked themselves out of the game. Number 20 for Ipswich was woeful, slow and had a negative impact, yet kept in the midfield. Both sides played their guts out.

You have no idea what your talking about, the ladies team what an awesome win from them yesterday but I can tell you now that at least 9 of those girls hadn’t played at the club until this year and half of them had never played the game before so basically a new team that hasn’t even played together for 12 months.

And as for our men’s team yeah we have turn overs every season just like every other club but we work hard to bring in new recruits as you do because if your not you not doing your job, we have a great young list with about 12 guys under 23 a few more between 23- 28 and 4 guys over thirty a pretty good blend I would of thought.

The season isn’t over yet but 95% of our list have committed to next season already but this doesn’t mean we won’t recruit as a team/ club we want players to be putting pressure on each other for spots each week.

There is quite often talk on here about the players we lost, especially the ones we lost last year but unfortunately out of that group only one would be good enough to play in our seniors and that’s not being disrespectful the others were either getting on or because they had it to easy for to long didn’t want to work hard for their positions they thought they owned so the chose to take the easy way out and go.

Maybe instead just looking at our list have a look at Kedrons,wynnum and Morton’s I will tell you now they would have just as much turn over as everyone else including us but there’s a reason why they play finals consistently which is keeping who they want,recruiting good players and looking after their young talent coming through

Sour grapes is all it is, can’t wait to see what you bag us for next... maybe our field is too big or something

Well actually if you could narrow your ground that would be great.
I find it hard to see all the way over the far side.
So cheers for that.
All of our new players have commented on how wide it is.
I mean old players we don't look for any new talent.
We just hope it all works out every year.
 
Would have to be some concern amongst the Ipswich camp after that big win by Kedron. Judging by their team sheet the personnel woes from the middle part of the year are over and will be launching at the top 3 late.

Have both the MB/Kedron Lions winning in close ones this weekend.

Wouldnt surprise me to see Kedron in the Granny to be honest. Remember they beat Wynnum rather convincingly at the beginning of the year just before Duffield left.

And remember wynumm gave them the biggest touch up on the return game.
Best just get this week done.
Ipswich at home is a tuff ask.
They kicked 21 behinds last week.
I'm sure they won't do that again.
Battle of the mids will win this one.
 
Saw the ressies game at Moreton.
Kedron looked very good early and never looked like losing.
I'd say 27 for Moreton has played his last game for the year.
If he doesn't get at least two weeks the system is broken.
Very surprised to see wynumm only win by one in the other twos game.
Watched the first half of the wynumm and morteon firsts.
Moreton were far better side and looked like the end result was as it should be.
The ruck for Moreton was in a class of his own.
Haven't seen anyone who could compete with him this year.
Like I said take Ipswich lightly at your own peril.
Can only go on live scoring as was at the other end of the world.
But seemed Ipswich got the behind hoodoo of their back and looked in control all day.
I think morteon get through in the twos.
Ipswich v wynumm in the ones could go either way.
Depends on which team turns up to play.
Both have been a tad inconsistent this year.
But both deserve their chance.

Unfortunately I arrived for the last half of the Kedron Moreton game and didn’t see the opening term. Kedron built a lead and controlled the game from there it appears. Moreton beat Wynnum last week - interesting to see whether the result will go the other way this week.

Saw most of the ones game. Moreton put Wynnum to the sword just before half time. They continued on their way in the third before a mini comeback from Wynnum, but to no avail. Nickels kicked his 100th, a great achievement.

Would agree with outandabout to not write off Ipswich. Number 9 for Wynnum went down with a knee injury yesterday (hopefully not serious, but was carried off) and he looked to be a prime ball mover.

All the best to teams competing this weekend!
 
Nickalls was very impressive unlike Flynn who went missing. Good contest early but could sense Wynumm were just hanging on. Impressive effort all game by Moreton Bay. Unfortunately it didn't look good for the the Wynumm lad who came off injured.
Big rematch between Wynumm and Ipswich next week.

Saw that a lad from Moreton did his hammy as well.
From a strictly bias point of view.
Kedron twos hoping that they bash each other up next week and stretch the depth a bit longer.
I think now kedron ones are out a couple of lads have qualified.
I'm hoping that the loss last year is the one you have to have before you win one.

Congratulations to Wynnum on the double grand final berth. Great work by the club to ensure they are in great space moving forward.

Looks like a good match up in the twos between us and Wynnum. I look forward to a great game.

I saw both games today and they did the damage to Moreton Bay in the second quarter. Mb never recovered, and Wynnum ran out resounding winners. Great season by MB in the twos.

In the ones, Ipswich got the jump on the Vikings early, but that’s where it stopped. Wynnum dominated in the second and third quarter to set up their easy win. Congratulations to Wynnum on reaching the grand final and Ipswich for coming so far. Although, the Ipswich coach appeared to change nothing in the quest to turn the game around from my perspective. An almighty spray at half time that could be heard from China certainly didn’t spark them into action. May need to rethink his variable coaching style - looked to take the fun out of the very defeated looking group throughout the game.

Yes I’ve been saying it forever Ipswich coach is shit no idea, no respect in his club for him. Will be surprised if he is reappointed and what a backward step if that happens my tip Morton bay will shit it in against another so called coach
