Yeah good player. Was on Lions list for a little while as a top up player.
Like I was eluding to, this is where the system can be tricky. Bringing in a footballer that at this level who is obviously elite can influence a game. If said player played Rd1 v Jindalee, would the result have been different?

If it has the ability to change the result on a week to week basis, then I can't support that.

Very different if it purely just a 'top up' player who fills up the twos with the ability to push others up.

Didn’t kick a goal nor in best players, so maybe not?
And that's fine. But it can be hard to measure impact on a day where it was one way traffic. But I accept the fact your coaching department didn't have him in the best on the day.

I won't keep beating my drum so this will be my final post regarding this matter - because it won't resolve a thing. However, I think it is healthy that people are sharing their views on an issue that clearly has a varying degree of opinion.

Hope there isn’t any issues when Dane Swan suits up for us on 25th June then. Hopefully he doesn’t impact the result.

A whole lot of s*** being spouted on here from the same whingers. At the end of the day the only people who could claim an actual grievance from all of this is the fringe guys who maybe miss out on a game.

This is not a competition where lists are finalised on a certain date or rules around list sizes etc. If your club has the capacity to get a few blokes on permit here and there to help win a game or two then all power to you, as long as its above board. There are 16 games and everything balances itself out at the end of the day. Baffles me that this is a conversation after a 90 point drubbing

There has to be permission granted from HQ (you can't just cherry pick players and play whoever you wish) so it would be interesting to see the rationale for allowing him to drop back this far.

Looks like the concussion thing was probably grounds for special consideration. Theres a reason we have finals qualification (X games played) for a reason. THis is really a non-discussion considering two homegrown Park Ridge blokes kicked 10 odd goals between them on the weekend

tips this week?

Yes some footy talk. Everyone forgets last round most games were fairly even and a drawn game to boot.

Yeronga vs Moreton will be good guide to how far the pack is off the favourites I think. Should be a good game of footy and probably good test for devils.

Most games look even and hopefully some good tight games again.

yeah 100% gonna be a good game to watch, our clubs got a bye this week so ill be sure to watch the yeronga vs moreton

Yeah I was knocked back by AFLQ from playing seniors a comp up, only need 3 games for 100 at Sandgate, can’t play every Friday game due to coaching youth footy but the brains trust didn’t have the heart to let it happen. It wouldn’t of benefited Zillmere at all, and Sandgate probably not much benefit either with me dragging my old ass around, but both clubs were happy to try make it happen. But they will approve a young bloke from the QAFL to play div 2 and make a huge difference to a game. Feel free everyone to post a letter to the editor about how crap that is.

Seems like a dumb rule if it allows a QAFL Seniorr player to play Div 2 Seniors, but a Div 3 player can't play Div 2 Seniors...?

Is it designed to protect competition integrity? Then surely guys playing down is more of an issue than guys playing up??

The rule is to protect Div 3 and stop clubs with senior teams above their div 3 team dropping senior blokes back on byes etc. If you have played seniors in any level above you can’t go back down to div 3. Which is fair enough. Got nothing to do with a div 3 player going up a div for a few games but.

not the intent, but that seems like the result

Ipswich v Wynnum

Park Ridge v Gympie

Moreton Bay v Yeronga
.
Wynnum to def Ipswich by 60 points
Kedron to def Jindalee by 14 points
Kenmore to def Pine Rivers by 18 points (match of the round for mine)
Hinterland to def Moorooka by 40 points
Park Ridge to def Gympie by 18 points
Alex hills to def Sandgate by 50 points
Moreton Bay to def Yeronga by 65 points

Good luck to all teams.

We asked for clarification, league ticked it off, was within the rules so we move on.
morally correct? probably not, I’d doubt many clubs would exploit such rule, but it’s is what it is. We accept it and move on.
