Usually late February or early March. At least for other divisions I know clubs still have a few weeks to get nominations sorted

On that, when was the last time a club actually went from 1 team Fridays to 2 teams Saturday? Not counting the ones that sat out 2020

Have there been any since Park Ridge returning after 1 year in Fridays, or Jindalee in about 2019?

Just a feeling I have but could be a couple of clubs addressing there numbers in the next couple of weeks. That said I don't think the draw is front of mind untill aflq get some feedback from clubs.

Are Kenmore a legit Div 1 contender at some point FF? They seem to have a few ingredients, not least a great location to pu QAFL players dropping back from magpies / mounties?

Same order as last year's finish. Sandgate still up there after losing Wagner?

Where do Wynnum land back in this division? Do they go to the South comp?

Wynnum went back in 2015 0r 2016. I'm getting old an forgetful. Played one season and then came back to Div 2 the next season.

No mate I'm pretty certain we would be coming back into the north division again.

They had a licence 2 years ago and pulled the pin on going up when they weren’t going to have the numbers and or quality?

Park Ridge and Kenmore were South. If you’re Gympie then Park Ridge ain’t North. We have a river that defines north and south.
So what side of river is Ipswich, Jindalee, Alex Hills, Moorooka etc. Pretty stupid argument using a river.

All these clubs within 25-30 minutes of each other. Take Gympie out and this competition has least travel for teams competing than any other now Moreton and Hinterland are gone.

So maybe let’s look at how we improve competition and keep clubs afloat rather than wanting change every 5 minutes.

Every club was asked question of allowing Wynnum back into competition and no club had an issue from what I understand.

And I would be happy for Moorooka to stay with just seniors for a year or so until they get back on their feet.

Our competition is starting 25th March from my understanding so we get 2 rounds in before Easter.

don't think they really get any from Mt gravatt do they?

Seem to be largely ex Kenmore juniors who didn't want to try the higher level, mixed in with ex Sherwood juniors not up to the higher level and a sprinkling of ex Sherwood QAFL blokes who want a lower pace of footy. Plus of course the walk ins that many clubs snag by pure luck.

If Sherwood didn't have their 3rds, they would probably pick up 5 or 6 more stand outs and would be Div 1 calibre for sure.

Are there too many Div 2 north clubs in that western Brisbane corridor? Kenmore, Yeronga, Moorooka, Jindalee could you maybe merge one and have a team placed near mount gravatt/carindale? Maybe a senior club plays out of carindale juniors?

5 years ago they were in different comps.

Remember Yeronga were Div 1 back in 2017
Kenmore were Div 2 and Moorooka and Jindalee were Div 3.

Merging Div2 with Div 3 and making it North/south really killed those Div 3 teams who just can't compete. (Ipswich, Moorooka, Jindalee as examples) Ipswich and Moorooka were Premiers and Runners Up in Div 3, now they just get flogged in Div 2.

I believe it should go back to div 1 2 3.
But if it stays north south then you have to realise Brisbane has a north south east and west. So those teams have to go somewhere. The river or bridge has no bearing on that.
