We played 2 clubs out of this competition in practice matches and I tell you if that spirit that the games were played in, with the respect shown to each other filters through the rest of the competition it will be a ripping year. There is going to be times when things get testy but to see the respect shown from our guys and the 2 clubs we played was first class. Love that fact you can battle and tear each other’s throats out but still pick each other up off the ground and have a beer.

Kenmore v Pirates was evenly matched. I think Kenmore have picked up blokes cut from Sherwood. Ressies was terrible

yeah big influx of young guys starved of opportunity at sherwood. Wouldn’t read into last weeks result, although probably shows Wynnum are right up there

wouldn't call 3 or 4 an influx, but there likely will be more as time goes on. had 80+ not including colts most of the pre-season.

We also had a senior player play 2s at Kenmore due to a family committment, I believe he played in the middle, kicked 5 in about 2 quarters and headed off. Probably should do playing Div 2 ressies, but would be good for the confidence!
