As sands through the hourglass, these are the days of our lives.

Where AFLQ consistently make laughable decisions on the run without any regard for their stakeholders, or any consideration of the actual facts.

It's a beautiful day, you could play footy right now - let alone tomorrow afternoon

My poor old mate Dean Warren needs to get a new budget for employees, so they can recruit a few who have a clue!

Plenty of roads flooded last night and yesterday.

But there would not be a single Div 1 or Div 2 side with ground issues or road closures effecting them by 11am Saturday

why rush a decision like that?

Surely there is no harm waiting until Friday arvo. Teams don't need that much notice that a game is off. If Noosa or whoever is flooded out, surely a swap of grounds and a later swap against the same side to the other ground next time they play isn't that hard to organise?

Come on Morro. How many players have played in a senior flag, then gone on to captain a ressies flag under a super coach.
But that's not all, they pretty much have pocket named after them.

There is only one flog this could be... welcome the buzz back to Beenleigh with some elbows boys deep behind play

A lot of roads are flooded and who knows how many grounds are affected by that. Might be sunny. But it's a common sense decision
Agree Damo. bigger picture is that there was a mini natural disaster on our doorstep this weekend and we are expecting (some) blokes and women to for go cleaning up their properties/businesses to kick a bit of leather around.
Commonsense in the end IMO

Enjoy the first hit out everyone, hope the games are played in the right spirits. I'm going to head down to Brendale today to catch the Aspley vs Park Ridge game. Will report on the game and the canteen facilities.

Aspley Reserves will be very hard to beat for flag. Very polished and some handy players running around in Div 2 Ressies.

Probably makes it easy when you have 70 odd to pick two sides from so level of competition for spots a lot more competitive than clubs that are lucky to have 44-50.

By all means not whinging as Aspley clearly setting the benchmark.

blocker can you ask your equivalent at the hornets whats going on with the live scores for that game? trying to follow it, every other game is showing live scores. cheers

Aspley 1s and 2s won by about 20 goals each. Intensity was up in the first 5 minutes of the 1s game with Aspley leading at quarter time by 2 goals. From that point on they weren't headed. Fitness appeared their major strength along with work rate.
Canteen was only ok, this usual fare of pies and sausage rolls. Beers were flowing but an impressive clubrooms can't take away from an average canteen. Hopefully they will have a better spread in future.
