Well for most of us in Div 2 the season is over .Which clubs will change coaches ? What players will move on ?
Robina Ressies played with their normal team not sure about stacking .
Watched the Div 3 2nd semi on weekend and both teams will need to heavily recruit to compete in Div 2 who ever wins the flag .

Bit early for all that commish? Sure there will be plenty of player and coaching movement in this division.

My spies tell me the most southern club will be parting ways with their coach after finals series?

Apparently concentrating more on ressies this year was final straw and maybe even looking to drop down a division?

See if that gets a bite?

Not sure that would be true with Cooly after talking to them during the year .They were happy at the time maybe things have changed .The buffs are very happy with Cam James so we wont be looking for a senior coach .
What about you Blocker all good at the pirates for next year coaching wise player wise ?

I did hear a story about a div2 coach from a southern club but not the most southern, who asked a bloke who just wanted to play 2s to train with seniors but the player refused so the coach called the group in and said the next player who refuses to train with the seniors when I ask will be punched in the face!!!

So i hear on the street there will be some changes in coaches in our Div 2 next year .At least 2 clubs looking and will advertise .That should be interesting .Will there be more than 2 clubs .Who are the 2 clubs?Change is not always good but every one has their own thoughts .If you change a coach will the players stay these days of loyalty to clubs is gone .

A coach is generally rated on win/loss. The Buffs avoided relegation due to Kedron having 19 men on the field in the last round and loosing their score. With that said you obviously don't rate your playing list, will the Buffs be going all out in recruiting during the off season to provide the coach with some cattle to work with?

The buffs have started to gather more players already .The youth we have did well in a new division and we rate our young senior players highly .We just need to add to the list and get our 2nds to progress to win a few games and put pressure on .Mud you know how it works .The buffs only paid 2 players this year and also paid a few guys fees only no need to break the bank yet .

You would think that but I know a club that moved on two coach's who took them to gfs in recent years.
No reason just wanted to go in a different direction they said.
Players will go with a coach if they are not happy where they are.
At this level you want a coach who gets the best out of what they have.

Same club that sacked a coach before round 1 this year? The red leggers love to sack a bloke

Our club advertise every year Commish for seniors down to all youth teams. As we have been only going 4 years in seniors we haven't really had the success to guarantee or lock in a coach due to that fact.

Totally understand that may have effect on stability but if you get your club culture right it should be reason why players stay and not move just because a coach moves on.
In saying that the incumbent coach has box seat but you would kick yourself as a club for not at least checking market. Never know who or what is out there and what they can bring to table.

Keeping your coach at this level can cause your club to either stall in recruitment or need a big cheque book to attract new players as well.

Don't think there is a right or wrong I suppose it depends at the end of the day on performance and how your club rates your current coach.
