The guys at Park Ridge are too focussed on getting blokes that have played a certain level of footy, instead of blokes that have good footy ahead of them.

Being from Kenmore, I watched a fair bit of the Magpies this year...hope the Pirates aren't paying big $ for Dillon, he is well past it.

With how young the majority of the list is at park ridge I'd argue you need those older heads that have played that higher level of footy to fast track development and set the standards and I'd think this would also apply to beenleigh as well so wouldn't be surprised if they announce signings of a similar caliber.

You watched him at QAFL level. Div 2 footy might be what he needs.

Funny how you are from Kenmore but never comment on them FTM?

I think from memory we played 8 x U16's in our seniors last year and would have over 30 players on our list under the age of 20, which I think would be on par with Beenleigh. So not sure how your comments that we are not focused on our kids stacks up. Our youth was biggest attraction in getting our new coach.

Secondly i am not sure how far past it Crackers is , if he still managed to play seniors at QAFL Level. Pretty silly statement really considering he is coming back to Div 2 like Sixth Sense already stated.

We know what we need exactly to mentor these kids, and we more than happy with players we have on board for 2018.

Agree Blocker Park Ridge played some excellent young blokes this year.

The Buffs had 13 U16s play Seniors or Reserves in 2017. In one of the last few games I think we had only 3 players in Seniors that were over 25 years old.

Like seeing the young guys playing Seniors

He played 2 or 3 senior games last year, including one where he was among the best and did a great job on Danny Green (the leading goalkicker from the season prior.)

I'm sure he'll be fine a few levels down. Would have been good for our ressies in 2018, but if he wants to play at 2pm - its a good move. Due to some injuries, we also often had to play him as a key defender - obviously not really where he is suited, and probably not enjoyable for a guy who has been a very good running half back over the years.

Pretty sure Dillon played some ressies games mid year then finished in the ones... kept Abby to one goal in the last game when 16 others were kicked against the Magpies.

Not bad for no preseason, missing half the season and not knowing the team!

Good to see the pirates recruiting well so far Davidson and crackers will be very helpful to them .They seem to be building well .Is it true Vicky Point have recruited Troy Moncur that would be handy with Templar up forward .Hope every signed who they wanted in the 1 month opening .

by watching Fabian this year I dare wouldn’t be surprised to see him south west of the river with Overington and Rutledge too... Bomber was ready close witn a lot of those guys at the hawks but who knows, have a look at the shots from sandgates pre season on Facebook this week and see who didn’t go back?

Time will tell I suppose. The short window for clearances make it hard to get everyone sorted to be fair. We are fairly comfortable with our recruitment thus far.

Be nice for a few other clubs to show their hand instead of Pirates every year maybe?

Interesting point, maybe though your post might have more interest if you posted it on the right forum. This is Div 2, I doubt too many on here really give a rats about Wilston Grange and Sandgate and who is/isn't playing for them.
