You would think out of zone free kicks simply shouldn't ever get paid with club umpires involved unless there is a dirty incident?

I don't think many of them get paid by the way, I doubt outandabout takes any money for his efforts

Probably true about being paid going on what ive been told.
pirates pay club umpire ...our umpire this year does it for nothing..
outandabout is good club person and the fairest umpire going around....

the two young blokes who umpired the park ridge/coomera seniors game...top job .
my opinion best display since pirates been in comp...
I know ressies umpires are club volunteers. ..(but do get paid)...
The display by coomera umpire was very very ordinary...
To run from 65 metres away and over rule the other umpire decision when the ball went out and pay a free kick was ordinary...one of many...
footy wise interesting first couple of rounds big game for park Ridge against the buff this weekend ...both having good wins the week before. ..

No change at Coomera, Jason Quality coach and person, he’s not a quitter

Hate to tell you old mate.
I do get a small amount to cover some costs of travel and a beer.
When I was coaching I never took a cent.
I always put anything offerd to me towards helping the players with registration or awards.
I agree that over ruling the other umpire is not something I do or like to see.
You make some wrong calls at time but that's footy.
I must say in the year and a half of umpiring I have never pulled out a card or had any real abuse from players.
Some blokes know every rule and love to tell you about them.
I think some umpries who haven't played the game don't understand that advantage at times is better than blowing the whistle all the time.
But hey that's just me.

Blockers men too strong today. Was a bigger gap than the scoreboard suggests with the late goals to the buffs. Did buffs have any big men out? look a very short side.

Off to watch Bond v Coolly today, should be a ripping game between two top sides, this comp is starting to sort it’s self out

After meeting with all the Presidents and AFLQ hierarchy last night appears a points system on its way in Div's 1,2&3 either next year or 2020.

Appears to have settled the ridiculous money being paid in Vic and SA so probably was always going to be on cards for QLD.

Looks like QAFL competition nearly have their points and cap sorted. Be interesting to see how it plays out in 2019.

Salary Cap a waste of time, points system will be interesting. Would think it hurts the likes of Carrara and Park Ridge, though Park Ridge would be credited for guys coming back to junior club, so that is a points saving. Blokes like the Rutledges, Overingtons and Dillons would be 6 pointers though, ouch. 24 points on 4 players.

Well done to Viccy Point today they really took it up to us all day. Big Moncur will be a handful for most sides. Think Viccy Point will definitely stay up in Div 2 and good chance to sneak into finals if big fella stays fit and healthy.
