Genuine - only played a couple of yearsShane Brew won the BnF from Maroochydore for div 3 north as you say.
Is he a former div 1 or QAFL Maroochydore player that’s come down to finish playing. Or is he a genuine Friday night player?

Who is Freddy?Div 3 South - Will McAdam (Coorparoo)*
Div 3 North - Quentin Ross (Caloundra)
Div 4 South - Justice Kennedy (Eagles)
Div 4 North - Will Hueppauff (Sandgate)
*Noting Jacob Huisman from Collingwood Park won the count but was ineligible.
Freddy has lodged a new rule to AFLQ that states that all these players, and those in the top 5, are to be ineligible for Friday night footy in 2025 and must now repent for their sins and report to him for allocation to a Saturday team.
Good question. Freddy leads the chorus of advocating for Friday night footy. He could possibly be an AFLQ employee.Who is Freddy?

I understand to some it’s just ‘social’ footy. But it’s a bit unfair to bring along the Friday night comps BnF’s to the community awards night and not even bother to post them on SEQ Footy or AFLQ fb pages.
Only found out who won div 3 and 4 south due to the winners own clubs posting it. Who won div 3 and 4 north?
Until each competition or at least a few, get together and run their own end of year vote count it will continue to spiral into nothing as league not really interested in anything outside just running the game.they no longer include any tickets in the competing clubs rego either.
We have never attended really, but for the clubs where its their senior side, would be nice to have a table and bring along volunteers etc
You could have it at a local pub and throw in some meat tray raffles in between votes. Wouldn’t that be good!Until each competition or at least a few, get together and run their own end of year vote count it will continue to spiral into nothing as league not really interested in anything outside just running the game.
It is pretty clear when most good things we had in any competition are being scaled back or canned.
Friday Night should do their own vote count night and could do a better job. Then Div 1 and both Div 2’s join together for theirs. Then all the women do same for their competitions.
Would be more sociable night and probably could read votes out for at least half games in every competition and not be as jammed packed as it is now.

They definitely read it!HQ obviously reading BigFooty again. They are posting the B&F winners now.
Narangba Crows have been advertising for the last couple of years. Maybe they’ll get a side up this year.Any other teams looking to come in to the Friday night space?
Don’t know but looks as though the locality based comps are a happening. Be some inequity first year or so but you’d think it will find its water level after a few years. Going to be some ripping rivalries in the Sunny Coast compAny other teams looking to come in to the Friday night space?
Increased affiliation costs may scare a few off, apparently the affiliation fees are up 30% for next season (speculated that increase in insurance and umpiring fees amongst the causes)Any other teams looking to come in to the Friday night space?
For those affiliated with Friday night footy. What was the rego this season for those clubs? Imagine training once a week and having to pay Saturday level rego.sounds like a decent bump in rego costs incoming
Happens in all levels of footy across Australia. Not many comps where there is less than a 100pts difference bn top and bottom. With the new proposed zone comps I have concerns for teams not wanting to play the ex-Div3 teams, and to be honest vice versa.
It’s gonna get ugly before the heralded promised “teams will find their level” occurs. Just hope that doesn’t turn players and teams away.
The attraction of less travel will bring players in. I know our guys are excited by the fact they don’t need to leave the Sunny Coast unless it’s Moreton or Redcliffe. But being a new club (providing we obtain our licence) we don’t really know where we’ll sit in the grand scheme of thingsWith the new proposed zone comps I have concerns for teams not wanting to play the ex-Div3 teams, and to be honest vice versa.

There will be 200 point smashings and clubs will be effected. The ones saying it will find its level are always at state league clubs. It will hurt some for sure
To be fair in response no one in Brisbane wanted to head up to the Sunny Coast on Friday night either. So you’re welcome to a Sunny Coast comp.Much better than travelling 200+ km to get a similar result. Players will play at this level of footy when they know it's a short trip, not because its a super competitive game.
