Moreton bay were also supposed to be in the sunny coast comp, be quicker to get to Caloundra glasshouse and Kawana then it would be for a fair whack of the north comp

Ah but see here Lagging, it would make sense to have Coorparoo’s second team in Brisbane south comp as well. But that would mean they would have to play their other team! We don’t want that.

Only the non-QAFL club commoners should have to play their own second side.
 
hey, they got their 2nd team before being QAFL

We got knocked back for a 2nd team for years, so who knows how they decide these things!

with the only consistent club to have a Friday night side for 20 consecutive years, if ever there was to be some indulgences, you would think they might come in this direction!
 
It's only been a 'friday night' comp since 2014. Prior to that it was largely Saturdays with a mix of Friday night games thrown in. So you have hardly had a "friday night team for 20 years"
 
Curious to know how they will plan the GF venues. Last two years were Yeronga and Moreton Bay.

You’d think that since there is a Gold Coast comp now and a Brisbane north comp. They might try and ‘localise’ the GF venues rather but that would mean 4 GF venues.

It would have made sense for the Div 3 grand final to be on the Sunshine Coast the past 2 years, even more so now

So maybe true to form expect them to try and cram all 4 in at Yeronga on the same night

I think you can safely assume the SC local comp grand final will be on the Sunshine Coast

By reports from some praccies. Moorooka beat Southport by 10 goals. Coorparoo 1 and 2 accounted for Ferny Grove and Marcellin quite comfortably. Aspley in a close one over Redcliffe.

I think the north comp will be the closest comp. SC with the usual standouts but Brisbane south and GC looks like the usual top 4 and then everyone else. GC probably even top 2 and everyone else.
 
Sherwood actually won 2 games. One of which was a big win against Moorooka.

I also don’t disagree with the idea that they might be well below where I and others predicted them. But perhaps new coach might coax some players to come back or move to Sherwood. I think Thommo 42 needs to make a comeback and show em how it’s done!
