I notice the Southport V Ormeau was a fixture then became a bye for both? Looks like a long season for Narangba. Glasshouse showed who was boss in the local derby against Hinterland. Was quite surprised by that score.

Southport V Ormeau was a wash out so moved to round 6.

Few games in the Brisbane south comp that were just training sessions for some teams. Coops 137 to 4 Jimboomba, Mt Gravatt 113 to Moorooka 2s 13, Sherwood 142 to Ipswich 2s 2 and Moorooka 1 200 to Alex Hills 6

All the other comps seem somewhat even.

Wouldn’t it have been better to split the south comp into two divisions?

Then you’d need to have divisions for all.

Throwing all these sides together was always going to result in this. Be interesting how many clubs lose sides at the end of the season, if not before
 
Allowing clubs to have a 2nd team AND placing them in the same competition, was always going to result in this sort of stuff

Thats on top of the regular talent disaparity at lower levels of footy in general thanks to the transient playing lists.
 
The first of 3 undefeated top of the table clashes over 3 weeks was played in Brisbane North on Friday night with the two previously undefeated Sandgate & Marcelin. It looked like a close tussle.

This Friday Gold Coast comp undefeated teams has Pac Pines v Southport facing off.

The following week it’s the currently undefeated Brisbane South teams Coorparoo v Moorooka

You’d think if their Friday night teams weren’t treated as a proper thirds when they were in Div 1. You’d be safe to assume they wouldn’t be using them as proper thirds now they are QAFL. However I have seen a few names come back through Friday night but very few.

That was a ripping game of footy. Would love to see these teams go head to head on a dry Saturday arvo the standard would be very good. The conditions make it tough. The week before Kawana v Glasshouse was the polar opposite, shocking game of footy.

The comp is a good one. Once the draw evens out it will take shape. Glasshouse has 5 wins, 4 of those against Narangba and Hinterland. They have a tough run home. Hear Daniel Dzufer is having a run with Caloundra so you’d expect them to come home like a train. Will be interesting KPE have a couple of significant injuries that may hurt down the stretch. But that’s footy
 
Caloundra are going to take some beating. Rolled out some stars last night and they looked damn slick. Dry track helped but KPE were witches hats most of the night. Was a good learning curve for our blokes knowing the level they need to get too.
 
Big game in the south comp this Friday.

1v2 both undefeated in Moorooka and Coorparoo.

There is also the last vs second last in the Ipswich Derby on Friday. Not sure how they will go to Saturday’s if both teams have one win between them.

Very surprised to see Southport knock off Pac Pines 1. But it’s Pac Pines and Southport and then daylight. Along with Moorooka and Coorparoo in the south. Sunny coast comp looks to be a bit more even than originally thought which is great.

Brisbane north starting to really open up in the middle of the pack for those finals positions.
