Can only speak for Caloundra but we take the opportunity for the early start any chance we get, juniors on most weeks though. Being so local now it’s not that hard on players regarding travel etc.Sunny coast teams seem to love a 6.30 start?

I would imagine the big change to this division of footy - makes heaps more sense for everyone involved, not just the players I would have thought. Can only speak for Caloundra but we take the opportunity for the early start any chance we get, juniors on most weeks though. Absolutely, always helps with family and friends coming to watch when we start earlier. Club normally does better over the bar and with food off the back of it as well.Or watch at the club after the game
Yeah looking at the playHQ website, seems to be a top 5 system.Looks like they'll still make finals?
5 competitive sides out of 7 is a pretty good hit rate. No comp is going to be even from top to bottom at this level. Prob any level (look at the elite level!)Yeah looking at the playHQ website, seems to be a top 5 system.
Caloundra looking the team to beat going off some of the names on the team sheet. The league really drops off after the top 5 with the 2 bottom sides sharing the sole win between them.
Maybe a few injuries for the Jets, hoping they bounce back in their final few games and make for interesting finals series.
pomona a chance to be added next year. maybe Bribie. that would be a solid comp5 competitive sides out of 7 is a pretty good hit rate. No comp is going to be even from top to bottom at this level. Prob any level (look at the elite level!)
Sounds like it’s been a real success this year with geographical divisions.
Yea think Pomona and BI would be decent additions and agree would make it a good number.pomona a chance to be added next year. maybe Bribie. that would be a solid comp
Also says the same for Hinterland against Caloundra last night as well.Is PlayHQ correct and Redcliffe forfeited in Div 3?
narangba Kawana was the same. just contest after contest with a slippery ball. Narangba have improved ten fold from the start of the year. Play a negative game style but everyone buys in and makes it a shit fight. Plenty of niggle and off the ball stuff. well done to them. Kawana was always had a bit more class when they did break the game open. looks like spots 3 and 4 will come down to the last round.Had a look at Glasshouse v Roos last night
Tough contested game, bit spicy at times. Roos just a bit cleaner with possession
Don't envy anyone trying to mark in the conditions, ball was an absolute cake of soap. very dewy and foggy
I'm not surprised about hinterland and huge chance they won't be in the comp next year. Also says the same for Hinterland against Caloundra last night as well.
Hopefully both teams can bounce back and at least field a side next week.
I went and watched the game between Sherwood and CP last night and rumour has it the Springfield still played when the Ipswich council closed the grounds two weeks ago and won that gameLast H&A game tonight in Brisbane south and GC.
Looks like tonight’s games in Brisbane south could still drastically change 1-5.
Moorooka V Coops 1v2 - who gets the week off.
Sherwood V Collingwood Park 4v5. Looks like a battle of who gets the home elimination.
Redlands V Jimboomba 3v7. Redlands win they go and get smashed by either Moorooka or Coops next week.
Springfield V Ipswich 2 (6-12). Springfield should win huge and even move into top 4.
Some huge games.
Was there another game that Sherwood split the points as well?I went and watched the game between Sherwood and CP last night and rumour has it the Springfield still played when the Ipswich council closed the grounds two weeks ago and won that game
Sherwood were due to play Ipswich which would of been a handy percentage boost and even organised another ground but Ipswich 1 didnt have the player to field two side so didn't want to play the game.
Qafl have wiped their hands of it and allowed Springfield to keep the 4 points why Sherwood and CP were made to split the points.
Huge disadvantage for Sherwood given the results of their game last night.
