Yeronga were done in about Round 6 when it comes to Div 1...I imagine they made every effort to qualify their ressies!

just making up the numbers anyway, great for the Cats to be playing finals

Any chance the Grand Final in Div 5 be played at the Brendale Sports Complex (Instead of Grange which let's be honest isn't the best ground and lighting is poor)? Clearly the other Grand Finalist (other than Aspley) would have to agree to it but the ground is one of the best in the country. It is not Aspley's home ground (Graham rd). This scenario happened last year in Div 2 when the GF was meant to be played elsewhere however both grand finalist in the Seniors and Reserves agreed to play at Brendale.

Yeronga would be an option then too on that theory?? Either way it would be a “home” GF as they have played there this year... I thought Coorparoo was a great spot for last years GF...

Yeronga into a prelim after jindalee decided to go home at quarter time Friday night.

Not bad for a team just making up the numbers

It may not be your "home" ground dinga but thats where you train each week isn't it?

Clearly the better venue for players and spectators alike.

what a shithouse game it was though, both sides skills poor. I know it was windy, but geez it was horrendous.

Don't think that big ground is very suitable for the older players from either team!

Who wins Div 5, Aspley or Bribie?

Tough trip to Bribie on a Friday night for a final, though lucky its probably Aspley making that trip.

Would think the minor premiers in both grades the likely premiers due to home advantage and getting rests if they win first finals.

Yeah the minor premiers did well hey. Yeronga still making up the numbers ? #halfwit

got that wrong for sure, didn't realise Yeronga had made a decision 12 weeks ago to stack their 3rds while their poor old 2s got pumped by 20 goals each week and had to chase players

I’m guessing it’s too hard for a person like you to simply say well done..

They did do that though didn’t they 6th sense... ??
had guys in the side that were bona fide A graders last season.

There are premierships and there’s are premiershipsbut all the same in a dismal year this would have brought some joy to the devils.

Committed from Round 1 due to work.

AFLQ created this issue with their silly rules excluding blokes if they play 1 senior game etc. Not taking into account people have differing committments that change over time and also failing to recognise that the Div 4 and 5 standard has plenty of blokes running around capable of senior footy.

Created a rule to stop people playing down, in the end all it did was discourage people from playing up. Not a good outcome you would think

Exactly what sunk Yeronga's 1s this year. Plenty of guys wanted to put their hand up to help out but didnt want to affect their Friday night eligibility. Would really hope they change this next year

If a club is relying on Friday night players to help a senior div 1 team, why do they have 3 teams to begin with? The rule is a good one for the other teams in div 4 and 5 who don’t have senior teams above them to grab players from. Div 4 and 5 are completely seperate comps to Saturday comps, clubs with 3 sides should either have 30 seperate players to pick from on Friday’s or not have a third team at all.

It’s not AFLQ fault they are trying to protect the integrity of one comp and a club that has nominated to have 3 sides at the start of the year doesn’t have the numbers for it or it’s players decide mid year to change the day they play.
