That a boy, encourage a bloke that works his clacker off to keep a team on the field as well as supporting other teams in competition.

NFi QAFL. Wonder why club's are in turmoil when that's the respect you show blokes that keep the competition alive for you to have your useless comments.
Not sure he works at AFLQ office Blocker despite your theories.. :)

I know one person that uses the handle is a former magpie (Sherwood) player that does a bit of scouting for an AFL Club and there are a few at AFLQ Headquarters that use it as well who are associates of his.

That is my mail anyway until someone else proves otherwise I suppose?

Hmm I know one bloke with that description but I'm not sure it would be. Anyway so be it - everyone entitled to their opinion on an open forum.. Keep doing whatever you do.

I have a feeling that Blocker may be correct and it is interesting there is now someone with the Handle "AFL Mackay Fan" who is stirring the pot and making ludicrous and ridiculous comments on the Mackay board like our very own QAFL_Fan has done since 24 May 2014.

That could be Patty Garner, Marty Pask, Will Fozard or maybe even Matty SKubis...?

I highly doubt any of those 4 blokes would have anything to do with it. In fact, I'm certain!

In the past, when questioned about his abilities to use Facebook, Mr QAFL_Fan has eluded to the fact that he has multiple personalities using this handle. Blocker is bang on the money.

Who really cares either way. It's a loser who takes pot shots from the dark putting clubs, teams or players down. By staying anonymous you could guess all day unless somebody knows for certain and wants to name and shame.

Might put a target on my back with my comments but he knows who I am and where I'm from anyway.

Obviously a bunch of players at the Woodsmen have it in for Thommo 42 if you think its one of them?
No one at the Woodies has it in for Thommo, one of the cronies would be making those snide comments. The comments on the Woodsmen performances year after year is the giveaway. Those cold Friday nights in the middle of the winter, there is no one there watching the games. Yet we constantly got detailed game reviews and discussion about their best players.

I think the less said about the last three years the better. After coming back after a few years away I'm blown away by the transformation of the club. We're definitely heading in the right direction and the future looks bright with a great bunch of people.
Congrats on your efforts to get the numbers for 3 teams-- pretty amazing considering the problems some other clubs are facing numbers wise. Just one question -- considering your first sentence, is the 2014 premiership year not something to be remembered fondly ?

Most didn't realise it at the time but it was all done the wrong way. The exodus of people from that period is remarkable. The disillusioned ones are slowly starting to trickle back now which is great. 95% of that team aren't even at the club anymore.

Yeah hence my scepticism doddsy. I only only know one of these guys well and there is no way he would be saying anything like this.
Tbh I don't mind qafl's opinions. Apart from the last one that was a bit personal and unnecessary he appears pretty well informed and generally accurate, more than I can say for 2/3 of the posters

I get the impression thistle that a premiership cost the club more than the glory of winning it in money and culture.

Spot on smy and they aren't the first club nor the last to have faced this problem. I think if a rule was put in place that said no individual club could recruit more than 3 players from any other individual club per season, it would go some way to curbing this shitty trend of mass exodus that we've seen happen over the past few seasons to certain clubs. One thing for certain is if nothing is done, expect more of the same each year and more clubs to suffer.

Are you predicting Park Ridge to have some pain in store in a season or two, based on these comments?

I personally don't see the point in stopping anyone from leaving that doesn't want to be there, unless they owe the club money. One thing I've learnt over my last 17 odd years in amateur club footy, match payments eventually kill footy clubs by and don't necessarily win you premierships.

From what I've heard, park ridge have some very good operators on and off field who have obviously seen and, no doubt learnt, from what's happened elsewhere so, no, I don't think it will happen to them.

So a club can recruit a heap, more than 3 even, and be alright provided they have good operators?

Mind you, if you're going to ask a loaded question like that, you might want to put a bit of lube on it next time, I mean shit, what would you have preferred me to say, that I think they'll be rooted ? I'm not even sure you understood my idea in the first place. Just so you do understand, I was suggesting that a club, any club, shouldn't be allowed to recruit any more than 3 players per season from one opposition club. A club could recruit as many players as they could muster overall, just as long as they aren't all from the same club.
