Hmm... I wonder what the chances are of Thorp or Riewoldt standing Tippett in the Tasmania v Qld match? Tippett strikes me as a huge smokey in the draft -- but at this stage it's difficult to judge if he's a big kid monstering undersized and modestly talented opponents, or if he's the real deal. If he can take marks and kick goals on Thorp or Riewoldt, people will really sit up and take notice.

It would also be good to see him spend some time in the ruck against Bellchambers...

I'd like to know where Weaver and co think Dzufer will go in this draft, if at all?

I remember a few people thought he would go last year.

Brisbane rookie list. He doesn't quite have an AFL position and his kicking is poor. Undersized KP player for mine.

agreed, another one of those tweeners......caught between a couple of afl positions.

To ask the obvious question of those who saw the game (or the NSW/Tassie game): are there any good (enough) NSW/ACT players?

I saw the NSW v Tasmania game, and I'd have to say that at first glance none of the NSW players stood out as having much AFL potential. Maybe someone like Duryea could be a v late draft pick. More than likely, though, he'll be headed for a rookie list if he's headed anywhere.

If any of them are drafted, they will mostly be drafted by Sydney in the rookie draft and one or two in the main draft. IMO Ed Wilson is their best hope in a rather weak team this year.

smith kicked 7 in this game , 3 against NT and 2 against tassie. takes some good grabs and looks quick on the lead. would like to see how he would go on a wing. draftable?
