i was playing a sport of a different variety and we were doing sprint training

and twang it went

ive been using some magic spray (chinese herb variety) for it, but it hurts like a son of a bit

the sport ive been playing i have copped 1. a side strain, 2 a rib injury

i also copped an injury on my left foot playing pick up basketball
 
Benn out 5-6weeks with mine now, is pretty much healed now but is weak as s**t.
 
Have torn both quads in past 3 seasons.. first time was my non kicking leg took 8 weeks til i could play.. second time round was my kicking leg came back for one game after 7 weeks but could barely kick on it.
Took forever to build it up to full strength again!

ive been getting injured on cold days

i believe my warming up techniques need to be questioned. that and more cardio work beforehand
 
Do loads of iceing followed by long, slow stretching in your recovery - goes a long way to preventing future injury. You can progress this to sitting in a position where the leg is being stretched while iceing it.
