Bartel is easily the best in the race for the quadruple dbl. Anyone else get close to those Tackle/Mark averages? wouldnt think so.

http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pc-geelong-cats--james-bartel

Tom Rockliff is averaging 5.2 marks and 9.1 tackles per game this season. Career comparison between he (4.9 marks and 5.3 tackles) and Bartel (5.5 marks and 4.4 tackles), considering how much more footy the latter has played, probably won't be close once both are done.

hats off to rockliff, didnt realise had similar averages to bartel.

he wont pull away as his stats have peaked.

I'm saying that Rockliff will be the one to pull away. If he puts up more seasons similar to his current one, his overall career averages will continue to rise.

Quintuple double:

Libba vs Collingwood: 12 kicks, 22 handballs, 23 contested possessions, 13 clearances and 10 tackles
You can't really count contested possessions or clearances in this, because it's double dipping with the possessions - They are a type of disposal, not a unique stat.

Kicks, handballs, marks, tackles, goals and to a lesser extent, hitouts should be the only categories considered, realistically.

Technically, a goal is a result of a disposal also, so again double dipping. 10 goals is pretty rare so it probably doesn't matter.

**** off with Contested Possessions, bounces, or any other pointless stat.

Kicks, marks, handballs, tackles, goals.
The only other one I'd even consider is hitouts, but even then I don't know.

Anything else? Pointless. If you want to bring them up, **** off and stop contaminating this thread.

We have a winner

Rockliff
40 disps (22 kicks 18 hballs), 10 marks, 10 tackles and a goal in Rd 20 105-pt loss to Adelaide at the Gabba (10 Aug 2014)

Edit:
Ok, yes I just realised I started reading from the beginning of the thread (2007) and didn't see the posts relating to my (exclusive) info, or the other players in the club. my bad

Career
Rockliff... V... Bartell
13.9 Kicks 13.2
12.4 HBalls 9.7
4.9 Marks 5.5
5.3
Tackles 4.4

Rocky has him covered, gee he sneaks under the radar being a Lion
Rocky is coming into his peak years as well so expect to see a lot more performances like the one he had on the weekend. Just needs to get his teammates to improve as well.

But according to most people on bigfooty and the media believe high possession stats are irrelevant. So therefore the highest possession getter isn't anywhere near as good as the most popular players.

Bartel has spent 5 years out of the midfield which hurt his numbers.
Actaully, if you look at Bartels best years (statswise) 2007 - 2010, they are very similar to Rockliffs career averages.

Bartel is/was a fantastic player, don't get me wrong, one of my favorite non Hawthorn players, despite what he has done to us over the years.
