And I haven't even noticed him
This gets so old. Why don't you actually watch the game? He wins the hard ball and uses better than most in the AFL in pressure situations. He will never be a 60m player as he just doesn't have a long kick and is a slow plodder. Just because he doesn't have massive X factor doesn't mean he is poor. He has been best on ground by a mile.

What is a good quadruple double for a ruckman?? They aren't going to lay 10 tackles in a game. 10 clearances?? hitouts? or is that too easy.

In the 1976 SANFL GF Australian Football Hall of Famer Rick Davies collected 21 kicks, 21 marks, 21 hitouts an 15 handballs, and was BOG by a country mile and helped Sturt cause a massive boiler over and beat Port Adelaide by 7 goals. It was the 7th flag for Sturt in 1966-76 period and captain Paul Bagshaw who played in all 7 said it was their finest hour.

Davies along with G Ablett in 1989 VFL GF and Simon Black in 2003 GF are the best performances I have seen in big GF's ie can't possibly play any better than they did play on those GF days.

10 tackles for a ruck shouldnt be too hard. Considering they are at the heart of every stoppage. Still not sure how to rate them.

Your boy Mathew Lobbe has landed 10+ tackles a few times, 2014 he was pretty good.

Unfortunately he's just not good at taking marks, or kicks...or handballs...

Man, this thread reminded me of the first ever game of nba that I saw. Detroit vs. San Antonio in the early nineties, when David Robinson got a quadruple double, there was a guy with bleach blonde hair in a weird pattern. I was instantly in love.

Heppell, Goddard and Watson were all very close on Saturday Night

Heppell: 18 kicks, 16 handballs, 8 marks, 7 tackles
Goddard: 17, 12, 10, 5
Watson: 13, 14, 7, 8

Jack Redden went 10-12-8-8 too.

We are playing a high uncontested game this year with a lot of mark and kick.

Gaff can't tackle so he'll never get the quad, but honestly wouldn't surprise me if he goes close to averaging a triple-double this year.
Had 13 marks on the weekend and throughout pre-season was getting 10+ marks a game.

Elliott Yeo is a slightly better tackler, in the 2-3 good games he'll play this year he could go close.

Zorko nearly got there again this weekend, I reckon he'll be first to crack it.
