Need some proper quadruple double talk, drop marks which are all uncontested bs and replace with clearances.

I think the intention is that the stats are unrelated and involve no double-dipping. E.g. you can record a clearance and a kick in one action.

For something truly terrible, replace marks with:

  • hitouts
  • bounces
  • spoils

We'll definitely be leaving the criteria as is, but

Xerri got Kicks, handballs, Tackles and hitouts once last year.
Marshall with Kicks, Handballs, Marks & hitouts this year.
Haven't looked any further but the list would double no doubt.

Marks get you either a kick or a handball - they've slipped in there under false pretences.

Oh no doubt - hence why I suggested replacing with any of those stats would be “terrible”!

The criteria are perfect as they are - I love how rare it is that a player gets it done. Perfectly balanced.

They could get you tackled and a free kick against if you take too long.

I did a bit of research earlier in this thread - there'd be a massive explosion with HOs. Gary Dempsey would have 15, Stef Martin four.

With hit outs you'd have to put a minimum of 40 at least
I think 10 hit outs is fine just that a quadruple double stays marks, kicks, tackles and handballs. And 10 hit outs makes it a quintuple double as something extra special that will be rarely, if ever, done.

Rather than have all 5 categories be the same weight and only four need to be achieved.

Might be worth it's own thread. I think someone will get there. Ruck is one role where they can get a lot of tackles but also run to positions to take a heap of marks. Big Maxy would have gone close at some stage, wouldn't he?

From a quick glance not really. Xerri or Marshall seem like they could do it.

Would need pretty much everything to go right in game for it to happen though

reckon weddle is able to pull this off one day :thumbsu:

Don't think he'd get many tackles playing on a wing/HBF unless we play him as an inside mid but that would be a waste of his skill set IMO.
