There was a moment on the broadcast where you SAW O'Connor pinching Rayner and Rayner doing it back to him. I remember thinking it was a weird response from Rayner at the time but obviously with all this context it makes sense.

If a significant number of our players were in fact sick going into that game that is a mitigating factor in our loss.

Hard enough to get out of bed sometimes let alone run around 15km against high quality opposition in a QF if you're crook, as is well known you only need a couple of players a step off their usual intensity and it has an affect on overall team performance.

Hopefully they are all fresh as daisies come Saturday night.

It's nonsensical, it's called collective guilt or guilt by association, it pervades through a lot of the discourse in society now.

I don't think this eras current snipers and pests would've lasted 5 minutes.

It is one of the issues in the modern game IMO. In a bygone era, the chance of retribution would keep these things in check more often than not. It's why the AFL needs to cut down on that kind of behavior, there isn't much the players can do to stop it from happening now, other than tell the umpires.
From my understanding, outside of the crowd loving it, one of the reasons why Hockey has kept allowing the fights is that it keeps grub behavior in check.

I watched 360 with razor ray dissecting the Rayner free. It was pretty comical.

• The nerdling was fear mongering that everyone will be flopping and diving now
• Razor tried to claim that the push in the goal square was ‘in play’ because it was within a kick of the ball which was -checks notes- 150m away.
• They then showed other free kicks from the weekend which shouldn’t have been free kicks. Lo and behold they were all interstate teams. They didn’t show the most obvious one which was Worpel staging for a 50 and a goal.

I’m sure Cam couldn’t care less but it’s funny how this is being covered. Very selective.

I think he might have shown the Georgiades free and suggested it might have been a directive to pay these frees

Dom Fay made a good point about Cam flopping that would he really do it that far off the ball where umps are unlikely to notice?

the response from Cam and the club has been perfect. Zero engagement.
All the talking heads got it out of there system Monday (or Tuesday on 360?), and it’s been a complete non-event since.
