I just quickly scoured through some statistics so I might have missed something but:

only once before have Clarke, Sandilands and Griffin played together -
Round 9 2012 vs West Coast; West Coast 84 d Fremantle 36

Griffin: 2 kicks, 3 handballs, 2 marks, 6 hitouts, 1 tackle & subbed out

Sandi: 9 kicks, 8 handballs, 4 marks, 27 hitouts, 1 tackle

Clarke: 6 kicks, 5 handballs, 3 marks, 5 hitouts, 3 tackles
I remember the game... was embarrassing how bad we were, I was there

There has been a late change, forced or otherwise, before every game of the last month. Can't see this week being any different

Oooooo I am liking this. Griffin's able to come in without much need for continuity, three talls is interesting, and I reckon he's a good player on his own merits. My high opinion of him is pretty well known around here. If it's slippery and pouring down, a late omission is ready and waiting.

Great to see

Grundy being doubtful may drive this as well.

Doubt it - Sydney have Reid who could go back

I can only think there is a doubt over Sandi

Given it is going to be wet and tough, surprised De Boer couldn't crack a game

Sandi may be out
Why else bring griffin in
Any one know if sandi is fit

Something that might piss me off more than Sandi being out is Sandi being out and made to fly 9 hours return across the country instead of resting at home

Feel for Crozier. He's been excellent - "played his way in" and has really shown he belongs and can be a weapon. Them gets dropped. Griff has been average for Peel, by my observations he hasn't exactly "played his way in" yet gets named. Not how RTB usually operates so I'd reckon on that alone there will be a late change. I hope so, Crozier deserves it IMO.

In all honesty, or should I say in all brutality, merits mean nothing in finals. I know that's harsh but if it came to a Grand Final and you've got a 65% Luke and a ready to go, in form Silvagni you're just going to go Silvagni. I like Crozier after going through a period of wanting him traded, but it's a part of the AFL.

Hopefully, if he comes back in, Crozier'll come in angry like he did in Geelong.

Griff as a forward is something I am very encouraged by. Knows how to grab a mark and actually holds onto them unlike the other 200+ fellas.

Can't see us going in with all 3 no matter how the weather is on Saturday. Ross up to his usual shenanigans

This, although I'm not really sure what the point of these shenanigans are. Surely Longmire isn't going to fall for it. He knows we aren't going to play 3 rucks. If any of those 3 rucks was a dangerous forward then it might be an interesting gambit, but they aren't all going to play together, even if it's dry.

Just handed them the game IMO. That is if there isn't a late change. There is no spot for three rucks. Would prefer Mayne to go back and bring in De Boer or better still leave Crozier in.
