I don't think Johnson is able to run and compete at the moment and he was severely tested by Westoff during the game .
Hinkley was obviously of the same view as me because he had Westoff running all over the ground dragging Johnno up into the forward line trying to expose us in the backline .
There is no way Johnson in his present condition could have the job of running with Buddy . Ibbotson is a far better matchup for Buddy IMHO .
Silvagni must come back into the lineup to cover Pike or the resting ruckman .
I was worried that Silvagni would struggle to come up for the Port game when he landed heavily on his back in the Brisbane game .I know he played on after it but he struggled after it to run hard .
Fyfe and Silvagni are the ins for me
Johnson and a very unlucky Suban the outs .
Anyone saying that Crozier out is just plan DUMB .
Suban , Duffy the travelling emergancys

MJ's problem was a sore back so its not a structural leg problem or anything like that.
If he gets some rest and physio he should be fine. Ross kept him out there all game and didn't sub him which shows how important he's considered in the back 6 structure.
Silvagni has proven form on Buddy, albeit some time ago.

In: Fyfe, Snos,

Out: crozier, Suban

I reckon ibbo stays in he can play on talls, smalls and fill in if johno goes down or MIA

Emerg : MDB, Suban, Crozier

Need to build the backline against the big bodies the Swans will have. From reading some of the Swans board, it looks like Reid might be out, and Goodes may start as sub. So likely to only need matchups for Buddy, Tippett and resting ruckman.

Wouldn't have faith in Ibbo being able to do the job, so we need two out of Silvagni/McPharlin/MJ to be fit and playing. Otherwise Mayne may have to fill a role, which would be disappointing given his efforts today across the field. Would be a shame to have him tied to a defensive role.

But can't escape the size of the Swans forward line.

Unfortunately, I'd say Sutty is a 50-50 for missing out next week through suspension. He hit Neade in the jaw similarly to the Varcoe hit(s) on Suban a few weeks ago. Who knows how it will turn out with the MRP interpretations... Fyfe is in and will be raring to go. Suban will probably make way.

He/she was saying that Sutty was 50/50 because the incident was similar to Varcoe's. Surely if it was similar, Sutty would be fine. And even if minor charge, he has no carry over points so should be okay.

Yes, but I also mentioned that the MRP can go any way. Precedent does not matter to them. Anyway I hope they are on our side this time.

Wonder if there's any vision of it. It was "Right in front of me" and a long way behind play and no umpires within cooee... and umpire did finally turn around and come running over after Schultz knocked cutty over.

Alot of attention in this thread has been about the Swans forward line, lets take a step back and look at all the lines.

Forwards :- Swans are strong, but Freo also have a lethal ( unconventional ?? ) attack.

Midfield :- Freo might just have an edge here.

Backs :- Freo are solid, but undersized against the Swans attack. The Swans defence could be stretched with an "unconventional" attacks ( aggressive goal kicking smalls ).

For Freo to win they need to really exploit their midfield and expose the Swans backline. If the Freo forwards can fight a draw, I reckon we will be winners.

Optimistic, but that's my positive spin.
