Watched every single player exit from the club rooms back to their cars after the game. Johnson was walking a little stiff as was Sandi, everyone else looked A-Grade. Was surprised to see Hill driving a (Subaru Forester?) station-wagon. Looked like he was about to pick up the kids and head off for a National Lampoon's holiday getaway.

I don't think Johnson is able to run and compete at the moment and he was severely tested by Westoff during the game .
Hinkley was obviously of the same view as me because he had Westoff running all over the ground dragging Johnno up into the forward line trying to expose us in the backline .
There is no way Johnson in his present condition could have the job of running with Buddy . Ibbotson is a far better matchup for Buddy IMHO .
Silvagni must come back into the lineup to cover Pike or the resting ruckman .
I was worried that Silvagni would struggle to come up for the Port game when he landed heavily on his back in the Brisbane game .I know he played on after it but he struggled after it to run hard .
Fyfe and Silvagni are the ins for me
Johnson and a very unlucky Suban the outs .
Anyone saying that Crozier out is just plan DUMB .
Suban , Duffy the travelling emergancys

Johnson having a supposed injury and Hinkley taking advantage of it by having Westoff running all over the ground to test Johnson is a load of rubbish.
Westoff's game is run, run and more run .Ibbo on Franklin, really?

Surprised it took as long as it did :)
Yeah I get it. He's clearly not gonna be dropped 1st week of the finals. Just don't feel he has been very effective of late

I get the he went soft at a contest criticism he gets. I think he had one at this game and then laid some bone crunching tackles later but his importance in getting the ball out of defence cannot be overstated, he is critical.

Spent most of the game covering Wingard when Spurr got lost chasing kicks. No way Duffield is going anywhere
I guess I just want to squeeze Ibbo down there somehow. I find our backline goes to another level when he is in form. I always preferred Gu closer to the sticks but the last couple weeks he has been so immense down back. Blah!

Such is the stuff of legend. Wasn't that in the wet and also a loss for us though?
McNose - I think it was the elimination final when we beat Hawthorn in 2010. From memory, Macca was having his annual finals leg injury.

Think Ibbo gets a game but it is getting difficult at the selection table Crozier could be the very unlucky one, but both could stay if Sutty's gets a week (didn't see it so not saying he will).

Nah, McPharlin played on Buddy in that EF

Out
- Suban
- Pearce
In
- Fyfe
- Silvagni

Gu replaces Pearce. Pearce has been good but Gu is more lethal

RTB said as much after the game on Johnson and Ibbo has the tank and the aerial skills to compete IMHO . Silvagni will more than likely get the job though .

With Fyfe coming in, I think we may be fine as long as we can win in the mid. Our midfield is better, and our best player has just had 2 weeks off and will be raring to go. If we can win the clearances & lock it in our forward line when it goes down there, I don't think the backline matchups are the most important thing for the day. Their forward line is too potent for our backs, so I think rather than trying to beat each individual, we should look at completely locking down a couple of them, and make their whole forward line less effective.

SCOS 192cm -93kg v buddy 196 cm -103 kg.**** buddy is a unique KPF,SCOS has got him covered in the air but once the ball hits the ground that's when the fun begins. As long SCOS doesn't over commit once the ball hits the deck, corrals buddy allowing the other defenders/mids to block the space Tippett is likely to want,SCOS will be helping us greatly.

In: Fyfe, Silvagni
Out: Suban, Crozier

Close to the best side we've put on the park all year. (A fit Macca the exception)

Why Crozier out? He gives our forward line even more depth with his mercurial talents, leg speed and goal kicking abilities.

I agree, but he's gone from starter to sub (where he only got 3 possessions), so he'd have to be at least a chance of getting dropped (happened to Duffy), as unfair as it might be. I'm hoping he'll stay but he'll probably be sub again.
