Hi guys,

Hopefully a good game on the weekend. Any news concerning Sandilands? Did he train? looked very proppy against Port and had to run it out hard.

Sandi always looks like a ****. Didn't notice anything personally although Lobbe had the better of him in the 3rd.

Didn't train yesterday but neither did half the squad, a very light session apparently.

Pav said "stranger things have happened" re: McPharlin possibly coming back in, also Ross saying he said the same about Barlow not playing. So who knows

Barlow's injury is a little different in nature, and we know that he is a tough nut.
Considering that it'll rain on saturday, we will only play MacPharlin only if he is 100%.
As good as Luke is, if he is even a little underdone, I rather he not play.
He'll risk further injury and may not be able to contribute as strongly in the tough conditions.

I agree. I don't want McPharlin playing unless he is 100% right to go and no concerns - zero risk

My speculation for tonight:

OUT: Johnson (Inj), Suban/Crozier (weather dependant)
IN: Silvagni, Fyfe

Emergencies: Suban/Crozier, Deboer, A.Pearce

Fly over Morabito or Clancee as well for support.

I reckon Crozier would do a better job than Suban at covering for Mayne if Mayne is shifted into defence. Crozier stays IMO.

Think they are taking over 26 so they will travel and even Smith might get a trip.

i dunno Suban is a bit of a tough nut, who is always useful in finals. Crozier tries but he isn't going to be burrowing down the bottom of the pack like Subs does. Especially if its an mud flat like last week, i'd be taking Suban.

If it's a mud flat, I'd agree with you. But, I don't reckon the weather will be much of an issue.

I would be extremely surprised if RTB threw Smith into the line up. He would get completely monstered and out played by the likes of Buddy, Tippett and Goodes.

I am having flash backs of when Dawson at the Hawks in one of his early games against Anthony Rocca.

Or even Smith's first game where David Hale monstered him. Not too sure we'll be seeing left field choices like Mora and Smith in a Qual final.

You obviously haven't been looking at the BOM site - record rainfall at homebush since 12th Aug over 260mm, raining every day this week up to and including sat - expect a wet track, don't reckon they will be running and bouncing the ball much...stoppage after stoppage I reckon...

Yes, I know it's been raining and that the turf will be a little soggy, but it looks dry on Saturday. I reckon people are overstating it.

I think the selection will be tough when it comes down to who gets a game between Crozier and Suban. I don't think both will play.

Even Matt Deboer's name will be up and about considering he has finals experience and is also a hard nut player who doesn't mind the wet

Tough decisions

Probably should pick someone who doesn't get caught holding the ball all the time then.
