My team - although i think it might be a tad too top-heavy, esp if it's raining.

B: Dawson McPharlin Spurr
HB: Sheridan Johnson Ibbotson
C: Hill Fyfe DPearce
HF: Walters Taberner Mayne
F: Hannath Pav Ballas
R: Sandi Mundy Neale
I: Barlow Suban APearce Sutcliffe

Sutty to get the vest (although I'd prefer DPearce it won't happen).
Griff for Hannath if he gets up - then one of Tab / Pearce (prob Tab) goes out and we bring in an extra small. I'd be tempted to bring in Brady Grey and give him the vest, and put Sutty into the 21.

Four 'old timers' who don't make the cut: Clancee, de Boer, Mzungu, Duffield (sorry boys...). And apologies to Crozier also. Any one of those 5 more likely to get picked than Grey - most likely deBoer. :(

I think if Walters is good to go then Ross might consider bringing Balla's back as the sub, he would add real spark & grunt later in the game.
I think it will be De Boer. He's a contested beast when he is fresh. I remember him going head to head with Beau Waters a few seasons ago, and coming off much better in a few contests.

I'd expect the plan is to throw everything at them early so if Ballaz plays, he'd be a starter for me as he'd be itching by now and hopefully ready to shock and awe.

I like Hannath but I don't think he's probably up to it unfortunately, also playing him in the same team as Taberner is very risky imo. Could see them potentially both having a bad day and carrying 2 guys in a final is the last thing we need. Hopefully Griff can play.

Could someone arrange for me to get either Ross's mobile number or Fyfe's I just wanted to clarify with them if he is fit and playing. Ta.:drunk:

Sorry to clarify further Im betting big on you boys to win.
There is an obligation to report any insider knowledge being saught to the AFL integrity dept.

Do you want to put Lyon or Fyfe in an awkward position?

Hang on thats not inside information though is it? Asking Ross if Fyfe will play has been asked numerous times already this weekend. I just want to get Sunday nights thoughts.

It would be unless it's publicly released but your current position is a good defense so stick to that story.

people please, do not suggest Taberner should play on Saturday. he is, indisputably, the worst Docker in our inglorious history. i'd even revoke his invitation to sit in the stands so as to ensure there's no chance he will clumsily injure a colleague or cause unnecessary anguish to our supporters.

What a strange thing to say.

I'm anguished that he isn't playing. As soon as we hit dry weather he was out of the team.

Come on, off to bed - it's a school day tomorrow.

Yes of course

You must be new :) Jack Anthony says hi (so does Daniel Schell)

I don't know about that, James Walker didn't set the world on fire either mate.

Also you're wrong, so I did in fact dispute you.

I remember your post on Alex Pearce a couple weeks back-

Let's not get too carried away here. he's played a dozen games because better players have been injured and he's kicked two goals in two games he's played forward. at his best, he looks clumsy and turns over two-thirds of his possessions; at his worst, he makes Taberner look talented.

Safe to say you're a shithouse troll.

The long range weather is for a overcast , possible showers and 18 degree day if that is the case we will need runners not talls .
My team as follows
Spurr Dawson Johnson
Sheridan Mcpharlin Hill
D Pearce Mundy Neale
Taberner Mayne Walters
Ballantyne Pavlich Griffin '
Sandilands Fyfe Suban
Inter De Boer , Ibbotson , Barlow
sub Langdon
Emergencies C Pearce , Clarke and Sutcliffe
The only reason I'm including Clarke as Sandi will need help if Griffin isn't ready to go . Sutcliffe will need to get through full training before I would risk his shoulder and Ballantyne will need to prove his shoulder is ready to go as well .

Wolfe ... Dunn.... Collard
Hey its depressing to write the whole list ;) could even go more recent with menagola, sylvia, gumby

As weird as this sounds - looking back over who we drafted is a good reminder of how good a rookie pick tabs is

You guys should keep Blakely in, he is a gun.

I think this would be pretty close but I wonder if now the finals start we would go with just one ruckman and leave the job to Sandi. Especially if Hannath is our best option. I, despite my feelings on him, would still favour Zac over Hannath any day of the week especilly Saturdays.

Weather also looks a concern for such a tall team, as you mentioned.

Fairly disrespectful, self-entitled attitudes over on the Swans board in their preview thread. Apparently Freo' fluked finishing top , are no good and they are going to thrash us.

They seem to completely forget their ump assisted victory (in Sydney) in the corresponding finals fixture last season.

Victory will taste sweet indeed.
