Michael Prior said yesterday that Griffen would be unlikely this week.

Griffin won't play. Hamstring. Why didn't Dawson play?? He's not injured. Maybe one of Johno/Macca not travelling real well?? Training on tuesday/thursday will be interesting. If any of backs under cloud makes sense that AP makes team. Interesting times ahead with selection .Nope, pretty spot on I reckon

I thought he looked like a Ross Lyon soldier, feared nothing and put his body on the line. Like he could stand in front of the running bulls waiting for Ross to say run and never look back over his shoulder.Did anyone else think brady grey is our next star was at the game yesterday and he caught my eye several times he was about the only player that really got my attention out of the players who arent usually in our best 22
Question is would you bring him in for a final or let him get more experience and unleash him 2016 ?
Yeah he missed this week with a torn hamstring, apparently it's a two week injury, don't see him making it over.If Smith has an iffy hamstring, we just run him up and down that wet, chopped up surface all day.
15 Ins in Bold from RD23 team for QF Final:
B: Spurr, McPharlin, Dawson
HB: C.Pearce, Johnson, Ibbotson
C: Hill, D.Pearce, Neale
HF: M.Deboer, Pavlich, Walters
F: Griffin , Mayne, Ballantyne
R: Sandilands , Fyfe, Mundy
I/C: Barlow, Suban, Mzungu,
SUB: Sutcliffe
Emerg: T.Sherridan, Z.Clarke, A.Pearce
The one's in Bold are a lock as they were rested/managed....Of the rest: Ibbotson, Barlow, Neale, Suban - played every game so they aren't about to lose their spot which leaves 3 spots up for grabs:
Games played is a good indicator I reckon:
DeBoer, C.Pearce, Sheridan - played 17 games
Duffield - 14 games
Z.Clarke, A.Pearce 13 games (Zac has lost his spot to Griff, Pearce will be handy backup but isn't going to dislodge the main talls in our backline)
Crozier played 10 games
Mzungu - played 9 games (2013 and 2014 played every game from memory, he was inj early and struggled to break into a winning team early) Think he might hold his spot over Duffield/Sheridan but is probably the most vulnerable...
don't think his 4 week suspension is up yet, is it?I like your Dockers list, but if we're playing against Sydney then Silvagni must be an emergency at least - probably the best backman we have against a fit and firing Buddy (I know Buddy is currently being managed due to injury, but against Sydney, in a final, there's still no other KPD I'd like playing on him more - that includes Elvis and Johnno)

unfortunately no. doubt Ross would play him anywayBugger it - you're right, he's still got one week to go. Thought he was only out for the rest of the home/away.![]()

He'll be available for peel if they make it to prelim same then for us from PF week onwardsBugger it - you're right, he's still got one week to go. Thought he was only out for the rest of the home/away.![]()
Ethan Hughes actually got mine. I thought Greys kicking was Spurr esque, missed a lot of easy targets. Hughes seemed to show great poise, and was never rushed.Did anyone else think brady grey is our next star was at the game yesterday and he caught my eye several times he was about the only player that really got my attention out of the players who arent usually in our best 22

Hughes was good, very composed but Grey really stood out for his toughness and didn't bat an eye when things didn't go right, just got on with it. Really rate him as he looks to be able to do a shut down role yet get the ball at will, something we have needed for a long time.Ethan Hughes actually got mine. ...Ibbo said that Brady is next in line for small defensive rolls

Sydney don't have a small forward worthy of shutting down, they rely on their midfielders to push forward and get goals. If anything we should throw Grey in to work on Hannebery, not sure on Grey's tank though. As long as they're from Abhi's - though that's also what did Sylvia in from memory.
I really liked Brady's game myself - his ability as a shut-down small defender make me think we should include him in the Sydney game and let Lee Spur play an intercepting marking role further up-field and add some extra hardness around the contest.
