Well Hannath played fair bit better than Clarke against Port both up forward and in the ruck.
Not convinced playing a second ruck versus using Dawson is absolutely needed but if you do I would be picking Hannath if Griffin doesn't get up.
Don't forget Hannaths two games this year were also in very wet conditions so not ideally suited for him and looked pretty mobile on the weekend but they lacked the ground level crumbers to help him.

Poor Griff cannot catch a break, was a certain starter for the finals then this.

I'd play Hannath given Pkye is similar. We need Sandi resting up forward when not rucking, to enable Reid/Tippett up the ground and away from their forward 50. So definitely need two ruckmen either way

Just incase you missed the double standards folks, according to Salim you can insult Hannath and Griff for their lack of pace but you are not allowed to criticise the soft, unmotivated, underperforming waste of space Clarke.

Read my post where I stated Clarke was way below acceptable against Port.If you think Hannath and Griff are anywhere near AFL pace you are in la la land.
And its an in joke with UFO who unlike you knows what he is talking about.

The coach added fellow small forward Hayden Ballantyne would be available for selection but was no certainty to be picked, given he has not played since round 16 after having surgery to repair a torn pectoral.

"Hayden's every chance, but he's no guarantee," Lyon said.

If Hayden isn't selected, can he play for Peel in the finals, even though he hasn't played for them all year?

Ross makes me laugh - he says nothing but reading between the lines and he is saying that Ballas is a certainty to play if he does not further hurt himself!!!

Not peeing in your pocket but your are one of the more entertaining posters.:thumbsu:

Thanks mate. Besides from your opinions about Hannath, you are one of the respectable posters on BF :)

However, can you drink more water? The stains are getting harder to get rid off ;)

Hannath is fine, big heart ,competitor good citizen but he is so damn slow:D

I've had a few people ask me if you're my grandfather at Peel games. I often go along with it.

1989 instead of 1990?
I am sorry..the obvious error is actually mine, I am an idiot.. I misunderstood what that board actually was!

I blame finals nerves, I am in the UK during the last part of this season and during the finals, living footy on the laptop..talk about being keyed up

Agree wholeheartedly. Also it's likely that the club knew that Griffin would be unavailable and Clarke was specifically advised not to over exert himself (people should remember that we effectively threw the game on the weekend, little should be read into the performance of any senior player) because we needed backup for Sandi. Hannath and Moller don't cut it in regular season games.

I have been down on Clarke's performances all season, and would prefer Griffin in the team at this stage, but Clarke still has plenty to offer.

Clarke was rubbish, has been all season.

Give Tabs the chance if we must play a tall.

As bad as Clarke was we will still pick him IMO. Hannath is no good and taking Taberner or Dawson into a final as the second string ruckman would be a huge risk. Surely Clarke will lift for this game. It's a shocking attitude if he's not really trying at WAFL level or against port but he'll give 100% this week surely. It may be an unpopular opinion here but I honestly think that this may be less of a risk than the other options.

I saw Clarkes game against Perth and he was in the best form for 2 years before he got concussed . He was giving it everything he had to show RTB that he wanted to be back in the firsts .
I would choose Clarke ahead of Hannath any time but it will all depend on how he trains this week .
If I was RTB I would be saying to him "I'm prepared to play you so that you can show me and the fans that you can PLAY and that we have to play you because you deserve the chance to play in the grand final .He needs to be challenged and told that he will be delisted \traded at the end of the season if we don't see you giving it everything you've got .
