Interesting that Ross said on 882 that they might forgo a second ruck if the conditions are wet... think it's smoke and mirrors and Clarke will become Zaarke again after Sydney.

Clarke has had enough chances. He's a spud. Taberner, while not a ruckman, showed much better form on the weekend than in his past couple of Freo games. I say go a bit smaller (one ruckman) and try to dominate the midfield. Should be more doable given Sydney's injuries to key mids.

There is an obligation to report any insider knowledge being saught to the AFL integrity dept.

Do you want to put Lyon or Fyfe in an awkward position?

I had a dream once about putting Fyfey in an awkward posi...

Umm... I think I've said too much...

As bad as Clarke was we will still pick him IMO. Hannath is no good and taking Taberner or Dawson into a final as the second string ruckman would be a huge risk. Surely Clarke will lift for this game. It's a shocking attitude if he's not really trying at WAFL level or against port but he'll give 100% this week surely. It may be an unpopular opinion here but I honestly think that this may be less of a risk than the other options.
He had a very serious head knock and I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that it still affected him in the Port game. I think the club knows it too.

Doc Larkins is an embarrassment to doctors. As if clubs are lax enough to allow inside medical reports to be released to a guy happy to spurt to the media.

His latest report that says Fyfe scans show a persisting periosteal reaction. No shit. They last on the scan months after a players bones are in tip top shape.

Bone scans can show an old fracture years down the track. He's a laughing stock wih barely enough intellect to inject Botox for cosmetic purposes. They are my least favourite doctors.

ole doc larkins reckons fyfe and ballantyne wont play and probably walters as well. fair dinkum!

Last night th AFL page had two stories an inch apart saying "Larkins thinks star eagle will miss finals" and "key eagle hamstring not as bad as thought and could play this week"

If you have a look at the game on the weekend Clarke was cruelled by the mids kicking it over his head every time he lead to the wings. I was amazed he didn't get all Richo on us and stomp his feet. After about 3 of them in a row the commentators then said "Clarke's only had 4 touches". No joke but I reckon if you look at his GPS mapping you would say he worked hard. Ross will know this and show our mids the footage where they butchered the ball. He will play this week and our top mids will hit him on the chest, Hannath will not play. In Ross I trust.

My preferred forward set up has Sandilands there. Obviously that is only going to happen for short periods, but it is a dangerous set up. In the end that equates to having a second ruck, and that means Clarke this week.

Quite possibly ( re the running) but Clarke also dropped at least 6 marks where he had a prime run at it...he spudded every one of them. I've been a big fan of his, and his buddy, but I can't defend his efforts or lack of against Port. He was abysmal

He looked like a player who has completely lost confidence. I think it would be a liability playing someone like that in a big final.

early in the year he was clunking them, and we all loved him. Now not so much...

Realistically speaking, Clarke will get the nod ahead of Hannath for Griffs spot. That saying, if my buddy is selected, I do not think Clarke will be here next year.
