Llyeton has a tough draw with Henman and Roddick before the semi's but is in good enough form to get the job done.

remember geddy you were arguing with me on generations? this is what happens if you have variety.Rafa has the worst return on serve against net rushers. I can bet my house on it that if it was a baseliner rafa would have killed him. Some players are weak at passing shot, rafa is one of them. This generation is crap, because there is no variety. A guy like becker would do rafa 61 61 on grass

really? thats why top 50 is stacked with 99.99% baseliners Dude if you know anything about tennis u should know that nadals weakness is his return of serve and his passing shot.There is no one in the tour at the moment who can exploit that consistently.Many players who are solid against baseliners find it hard to win against serve and volleyers.

You are completely ignoring the fact that the wimbledon courts have been considerably slowed down. If Becker played Nadal today on Wimbledon's center court, the contest would be much closer than it would have been back in Becker's time.

But more importantly, whats the point of learning S&Ving as your main trade if there is no longer a GS that gives you a significant edge over your fellow players. There isn't. I believe this is a considerable factor in the demise of S&V, and so saying how crap this generation is should be said in tandem with how crap the Wimbledon administration is.

The courts are slow, the grass courts play like clay courts, theres no room for serve and volleyers like Mahut in todays game. The grass courts used to be a baseliners graveyard, just like clay is used to be serve and volleyers graveyard but its not like that these days anymore. You will never know what is beckers best vs nadals best on grass court or hardcourt.

Spot on last years wimbledon final proved this- how else would a clay courter at this stage in his career in Nadal reach a Wimbledon final. It is becuase there is ZERO variety and becuase the courts have slowed down ridiculously as well.
