Opinion Quentin Lynch

Clearly a player that polarizes opinions around these parts. I love the big guy. He is certainly an upgrade on Dawes...

I've noticed myself watching all the Collingwood games this year. I might even make it to a Collingwood/West Coast game one of these days. Happy to see that his career is still going strong.

Almost ripped up the paper when I read that R. Walls article - absolutely pathetic naive article.

I literally just wrote about Walls in another thread, about how he spent most, no all of 2007 bagging the Eagles as cheats. I see the old man is still rather grumpy. Off to check his new article now

Ive always been a fan of Lynch, and he has left a hole in our side, albeit it being magnified with NN out meaning that we havent had the flexibility to push a ruckmen forward.
But watching him on the weekend, its the same Lynch. Missing gettable shots, Kicking it to the opposition, or just bombing long to no advantage whatsoever. And this was a "good" game according to the commentators.

Collingwood will consider themselves happy with his output, no doubt, and he is an upgrade at least for now on Dawes. His work rate is second to none. But I think Lynch leaving may be in the best interests of both parties.

Losing Lynch allowed us to gain Wellingham IMO by opening a list spot and salary space. Lynch would have been on decent coin. Coin better used elsewhere.

A solid third tall forward and pinch hitting ruckman is not nearly as pressing of a concern as the midfield.

As Kerr said, we have Darling now. RIP Lynchy.
