OK, so if a club has a FS or academy prospect that is bid on, if you elect to match but dont have enough points in this year's draft, you can then go into deficit for the following year.
Just how far can that be strung over?
Say in the 2025 draft a club has an academy kid that's bid on at pick 2 and the club is 500 pts less in picks so their first pick next year is down graded by 500 pts. If again in 2026 they have say two top academy kids who are bid on at say pick 4 and 6, and the club doesnt have enough points to match both of them, so again goes into points deficit for the 2027 draft. If there is continued high quality academy kids year after year, what do the rules say about how long you can continue to kick the point deficit can down the road?
