Idea for a thread
'AFL club jumpers - as decided by FJGD' or something like that
every poster that is proud of a jumper for a certain club they made sends in their design
next, we poll in the entrants, home, away, clash - and choose the best 3 for home away and clash as based on the poll for each club.
unsure if this would be feasible, but would be fun and interesting

novice question: why do so many jumper design ideas on this forum have grey &/or faded stripes/shadings on them? I get the shadow effect, but the other uses just don't compute for me. Footy jumpers usually have clear distinct colours, so are these effects an artistic expression to defy the status quo or something? Is it a current trend or a graphic design "rule" of some sort?

What like watermarked design elements? Just gives it a bit of depth maybe, particularly in the comps where there's been so many designs done over and over, it can be a point of difference.

I'm fairly sure there is one in the template thread, if not can't you just trace and upscale the small one you have?
I'll give tracing it a shot.

Tip: only trace one half, then copy and flip it and join them together. Will look much neater.
