Hi everyone, hopefully someone is able to help me out.

Looking to get a personalised number on my 2017 dogs Jumper through the online shop.mjjstnwomdering if the number is the large font the player issued jumpers have or if it is smaller? Would love to get it looking like the players ones but fear it could be a small version. Anyone with personalised numbers of their club please let me know your experience, thanks!

It obviously won't be exactly the same size as the PI jumpers but I know my brother has one with a heat pressed number from the crows shop and it looks perfectly fine besides the fact that the yellow is slightly different (won't really matter on a dogs jumper given the numbers are white). I'd keep in mind that they probably don't change the size of the numbers for each guernsey size, but as long as you go for a fairly normal size then I reckon you'd be right.

The swans auction site currently has Nick Smiths match worn 2015 indigenous guernsey up for grabs. The only problem is when I was looking back on previous auctions this jumper has already been sold. This could mean a few things

1: The person who won the first auction didn't pay for guernsey which would explain why it is only Smiths indigenous guernsey currently up for auction.
2: He wore two guernseys on the night.
3: This guernsey has been labelled incorrectly as match worn either intentionally or unintentionally.

I just wanted to know what you guys thought about the situation. Is it it likely to be match worn or a spare that had been placed in storage and forgotten about. Has anyone had any similar experiences with their teams auction site.

I will email the club about this but I'm worried I'll end up talking to someone who has no idea about the authenticity of jumper hence why I'm asking you guys. Thanks.

I'd go with option 1. Happens a lot through the auction pages.

Also, I doubt these clubs sell the wrong jumpers maliciously or with intent. I'm a big cynic but honestly, there's just too many people involved and too many people dealing with stuff they don't know everything about for this shit to happen. Jumpers are probably not even catalogued, more likely every jumper generally just sits in storage or something and they grab it thinking it was worn. Then again, total conjecture. And guessing.

I would suggest two jumpers were made, one for playing, one as a spare in case he had to swap jumpers due to the blood rule.
When it came time to sell the first one they wouldn't know which was match worn and which was the spare.
They've now sold both, and one is the match worn one and the other is the spare.
Given they should be identical it would be pretty difficult to differentiate one from the other.

Is it that hard to make non-worn jumpers, prior to a game, have a green sticker or something on them?

I know this isn't selling game worn World Cup final or LeBron James strips, but at the same time...

Cheers for the reply, ironically found some pics online where crows are the example, the personalised number looks considerably smaller than the real jumper, does your brothers look like this??

I'm going to get an M.

That's just the computer mock up though, type 'Adelaide crows guernsey' or 'western bulldogs guernsey' into ebay and you'll see what they end up looking like on the actual jumper. Make sure you are looking the proper AFL ones though and not the crappy BLK numbers.

EDIT: here's one that I found on ebay just to make it easier

Mmm that's much more promising! Reckon I'd be better off doing it through the dogs online shop (through to asics I guess) or at the AFL shop?

might be blind but considering the stickied "template & resource" thread hasn't been updated since 2015, has anyone got a 2017 ISC template? psd if possible.

CalvinGords has got your back.

Yeah this is a sample.

Generally supplied in a set (S-2XL) so you can judge a size/fit before making an order. Also shows off the cut of the guernsey and detail into stitching before ordering too.

I posed this a few weeks ago but didn't get many responses.

Reckon Mero might be a good person to answer this. I don't understand how ISC have so much cash at their disposal.

They don't seem all that different to BLK in that they sponsor a truck load of pro teams, sell very little of their own apparel and only supply to small regional clubs in Australia. I don't see any significant revenue streams at all, yet they are signing huge 5 year deals with adelaide, Collingwood, Essendon, Sydney.

They've been around for about 20 years now, so I'd say that may have something to do with it?

They've managed to grab some pretty prominent (and I imagine well financed) contracts in their time. They've sponsored the Aus Cricket Team for a decade (91-02) including the 92 world cup, NBL for a few years (2014-16) and the English Nation Rugby Team (2010-15). So it isn't like they've come outta nowhere. Whoever's running the company just has a better grip on expenses.
