Would have to be an Under 18s match, given the VFL logo and number on the chest.
 
Yeah I figured it was a Vic u/18 guernsey, just didn't know what for and why the colours :confused:

Vic U18 guernseys have varied over the years. Without knowing years, I can remember these, covering both Vic Metro and Vic Country:

Navy blue with white V
Navy blue with light blue V
Navy blue with gold V (I don't remember it - it's just in the pic above :))
Light blue with navy blue V
White with light blue V
Yellow with red V (possibly ochre instead of red)
 
Wow, never knew that. Thought they were always navy and white (or very pale blue now). The above pic looks black to me, not navy though
 
Every time I go on this board now there seems to be a new thread about soccer or cricket or baseball or almost any other sport. I feel as though these are slowly starting to take over the board, which is called FOOTY Graphic Design and is on the website BigFOOTY. I don't have a problem with them being on here but I figure the board could be better organised. How about a subforum called 'other sports' or something? I just feel its detracting from the footy side of this board a bit...

There's more than a few. Half the first page is about these and I personally am losing interest in it. If I wanted to read about NBA jerseys I'd go on an NBA forum. If I wanted to read about cricket kits I'd go on a cricket forum. Having said that I don't mind that they're on here, in fact it adds more resources and discussion, but I feel too much time is going into them. I know its the offseason and all but the way I see it the board may as well be renamed 'sporting graphic design'. The number of threads is growing steadily and if a subforum started up it would grow even quicker. It's a bit like the comp subforum, surely there was only one or two competitions when that started but now look at it.

It's not that I don't like them its just a bit offtopic imo. I still read and post in quite a few of them. If anything I think a subforum would benefit the discussions. It'll just help tidy things up a bit

As I said it's not a criticism, just a way to tidy things up a bit. The way I see it going is that there will be more non-footy than footy threads on the main board soon and I know that I won't really bother reading/posting much if that becomes the case. Its just a suggestion anyway and I would like more peoples opinions

Keep it the way it is. The reasons those threads are here is people want to talk about them.

Sub-forum would go way too far IMO.

Talking about PAFC's suggestion btw.
 
Yeah, a sub forum wouldn't be happening. It wouldn't be very active, and we've had enough issues already with the one we have.

E92, most of the 2012 threads are stopping now anyway, so I don't see the point. The sheer weight of them would mean a new thread would be needed anyway as it'd roughly push the post total in the current thread close to 1000.

I know you don't like me but I'm really getting sick of you trolling on every single thing I post! You say that I'm immature but I think you need to have a look at yourself mate. All I'm trying to do is state my opinions, make suggestions and try to improve this board and you're the only one who seems to have a problem with me. I actually like some of the things you post and I think you say some good things but this constant unnecessary trolling is giving me the shits! Just lay off a bit mate, you're making things worse for everyone

Yep, fair enough doc :thumbsu: Just trying to do my bit and improve things where possible. Just to reiterate things, I don't have a problem with them being on here I just wouldn't like to see them take over the board completely

Not really a problem now but it was a bit annoying a few weeks ago when there was about 5 of the portfolio threads on the first page alone.

The other thing that has at times been really annoying is the "design a jumper for ______". I've never had enough time and interest to put any input into them and similarly they were clogging up the main page. Can understand why they possibly wouldn't be merged as well though
 
Hmmm, I just think you seem a little Australia and Footy centric when it comes to these debates. I'd much rather read through a good thread about soccer kits than a thread with 2 posts about footy. Don't get me wrong, I love footy, but there are other sports I and a lot of other people want to talk about sometimes. I think SA is right in the fact that you need to think about things a bit deeper and in different ways. I like a majority of your posts but just because people are talking about things you don't like they have to go off somewhere else and do it. It's like saying immigrants should stop playing soccer and start playing footy if they come here and go somewhere else if they want to play soccer.
 
i just hate it when ppl design jumpers for not good reason...

the main threads i use on here are ebay , what do you own and , meros
 
They're just throwing up ideas for conversation. Designing footy jumpers is most of what this board is about.

A majority of them wouldn't actually be worn, but I love to see what people on this board can come up with.
