Have Richmond had the most consistently comfortable looking sponsors? The TAC and Jeep were simple and blended into the colourway, and I always thought the Motorola looked cool. Pity they're shit.
Oh, come on, that's not fair.
They've the finals as often as Fitzroy have since 1983.

Is there any reason why AFL guernseys don't have the player's names above the numbers? I know that you can buy replica guernseys with names heat pressed onto them. Is it to keep the guernsey from being too cluttered or just because they don't see the need to?

I wouldn't mind players having names in a Block-font :thumbsu:

Not enough real estate on the jumpers I reckon.

Only thing that makes me question that is this:

You need to remember though that the heat press numbers are often smaller than the PI numbers. Also, if would be a problem for someone like Lewis Roberts-Thompson or Daniel Giansiracusa.

No need for lettering. The game is too fast to pick up and read lettering, it really wouldn't serve a purpose. Plus there's the aesthetic issue of clutter. And the historical slant of it being completely foreign and wrong. I'm also starting to think Andonis is a troll.

Does anyone have a better image of this? It's Tim Rogers at the Roosistence gig, holding up a Gold Coast Kangaroos strip.

Why would North have to change colours/jumpers if they relocated to the Gold Coast?
Surely they could have kept the same jumpers and still called themselves the Kangaroos.

I imagine that they would've been called the Gold Coast Kangaroos or something to that effect. Though Northern Kangaroos would've been a pretty good middle point.

Plus, I think a new colour would have been added. I remember hearing a few mentions about yellow being added to their design.

Because it would be ****ing stupid.

Sorry, that's the nicest way I can put it.
